Reid is one of those players the majority of Latics fans will abuse as he doesn't run around like a headless chicken, chasing down defenders for 90 minutes and winning the odd throw-in in the opppositions half. A-la Paul Warne- who was loved by the majority, yet I think is one of the most "over rated" players in a Oldham shirt i've ever seen.

Reid is a technically good player, and will bag given a good run in the team- something which he hasnt had for a while in his career. Never mind at Oldham.

This squad is probably up there with the weakest i've seen in my time watching Latics.

Staying up will be a huge achievement, even if we do bring in a few new faces.

What? I was looking forward to this. I asked Lee today what was happening with it. I could have found a few players I reckon.

I know we need plenty of new players but one position that needs sorting and I said it last season i rigt back

 

Kieron Lee is a very good player but IMO he is not the answer at right back.

 

many times last season and the first 2 games this season he has been caught out of position, Quinn found too much space numerous times and Carlisle noticed so thay put Welsh on just after half time to exploit us

 

Lee looks good going forward but doesnt get enough crosses in the box- maybe use him as another midfield option

 

I think we need a out and out right back someone who has always played there and brought up in that position- not a utility player, Lee is still learming the position and it can be costly at times

 

Sheff Utd knew it, Carlisle realised and it wont be long before everyone else does

Our left back is a hell of a lot weaker. I expected Black to be mentioned in this thread, not Kieran Lee! Defo agree he could do a job in midfield if needed.

rubbish! he's a solid L1 fullback. he can get better sure, and im looking forward to seeing him do that in an Oldham shirt.

In my opinion he's not. Often beaten by his man too easily giving free crosses away. And clueless going forward. Plays a lot more pointless balls down the line than Eardley ever did- the same sort Neal got booed for.

Easily better out there.

Need a new left back, Paul Black isnt good enough.

We wouldnt know if he was a "lethal finisher" as 1. He was barely on the pitch.. and 2. When he was on the pitch he was never in the box, and never in any position to shoot.

The current main stand and chaddy end will not last another five years, however much the club may want to patch it up. What are the club going to do when the time comes that Health and Safety will no longer give main stand and chaddy end a safety certificate, then we are left with a two sided stadium!!!

Have we attempted to patch the Chaddy up? To me the stand has never ever changed in my time watching Oldham, the only thing that changes is the white paint on the roof fades more and more each year.

I saw them live about ten years ago and thought they were utter :censored:e. Obviously caught them on a bad day.

I saw them at Leeds fest in 2005, they were good. I feel their music overall is a little over rated. But meh.

Top live band even if their music doesnt do much for me. They are probably up there with the best i've seen live.
