Getting through the season would be a success- then avoiding relegation.
Everything else a bonus.
-
The 3-2 win at Hull City in the FA Cup. Sheridan with an absolute peach of a free kick.
Also remembered for their racist chanting and David Beresford ripping Dean Holden a new arsehole.
-
D:Ream - Things can only get better. Always heard that being played, and in my time supporting Latics the title is rather apt.
-
Tony Naylor for Vale and Cheltenham
Mike Sheron seemed to bag a lot against us.

Ah, the emergence of the "Jewish conspiracy" c**p again.
Can we look at the faith, regional, boy scout troop, school, first holiday destination backgrounds of all players signed and compare them with those of the Chairmen and Managers at the time?
There must have been some other reason we signed Colbeck, it certainly wasnt his footballing ability. Woeful.
Im just worried we'll be signing players of similar "quality" in the summer as we haven't got a pot to piss in.

That green and navy Pony away shirt. Why did we change the club badge!?
The yellow and blue Sparta away shirt in my opinion is our worst just behind the red and blue hoops.
-
PNE struggle to take 3.5K to Burnley so doubt they will bring that to us but still better followings than we are used to, also i dont think Sheff United following are all that certainly no where near what Wednesdays are (despite their :censored:e turn out here)
I just hope we dont get them all on a Tuesday night like we normally do against the likes of Leeds, Forest and Wednesday
What has happened? They used to regularly fill the Rochdale Road end when they played us when they were in this league.
Used to always win 1-0 as well!
-
Its hard finding legends these days given we rarely see anyone staying here longer than 2 years good or bad!
Eyres, Duxbury, Sheridan, Taylor and Gregan.
-
2 from Taylor, Furman, Lee & Stephens will have to go to see us through the summer and early part of next season.
Seems like Stephens is off so +1 of the others at least.
-
Even with Lee in your team?
He's the reason why we'd give most bottom league sides a game.
-
How good are you lot? I bet our sunday league team wouldnt mind. Would depend on when really.
What league are you in?
We'd give bottom league sides a game, anyone higher would more than likely tear us a new arsehole
-
Perhaps it's time to setup some sort of group willing to support the team and encourage instead of being abusive and over the top to opposition fans, players, latics players.
I want latics to be an enjoyable place to go again.
I'm sick of things going right on the pitch then a bombshell is dropped off it- we wont be at BP again next season etc etc.
Moving ST from their original seats for 600 Tranmere Rovers fans as Futchers Briefs says is also a bit of a joke.
What Garcon said, spot on.

before the match I was worried about who we'd play on the left-hand side facing Anthony Pilkington and IMO he was the main threat and I feel teams with a decent right-sided midfielder have exposed us this season (e.g Boyd for Peterborough, Chamberlin for Southampton) so maybe thats why he didn't commit himself as much
Aye I cant grumble too much as we were the away side and after last seasons debacle when our centre mids rarely left our own half never mind our full backs.
I thought we totally nullified their threat apart from set pieces, its just a shame we didnt offer much either.
-
Trotman, Lee and Furman were stand our performers.
Evina looked dodgy and didnt offer as much going forward as Lee did. They were there for the taking but then so were we, crap game, crap ref. 0-0 draw fair result.
I hear Taylors injury is pretty bad and is more than likely out for the season.
-
Furman has been the player of the season so far. Hasn't carried Stephens though.
At times he has. Stephens can be anonymous for ages, then pop up with a goal. Do for me.
-
I don't get carried away with players usually, Morais took a good while to win me over but this lad (Abalimba) has summat about him and to stand out in that turgid affair yesterday was no mean feat - he stood out a mile. I'd say Furman and Stephens have competition, more so Furman as he played in the holding role but i'm led to believe that he is equally at home in Stephens box to box role, I look forward to seeing him a bit further forward...
Furman has been player of the season for me, carried Stephens for large parts as well.

just scored in 90th minute
Oh dear Dangerous Dave

Not at all Sky prefer games where their are full stadiums to improve the atmosphere and the occasion (they like derby's at this level) I think they would openly welcome it and I think its pretty safe to assume they werent thinking about how many oldham and tranmere fans would watch on tv.
When we were on telly against Port Vale, wasnt there reduced admission - the game we won 2-1? I rememeber just under 7000 being there that day I think.
-
Super that we've got Felipe on board and yet more proof if ever it was needed that PD is the man that's brought a togetherness and will to be here.
Also yet more proof that Latics are not thinking about next season until the end of this. What this side does in terms of which league it will be playing in next season as never been more crucial in my opinion. That includes making it to the then first division in 91.
Agree great news.
I daren't think about our prospects for next season! Making the most of this season defo.

gets better everytime you watch it doesnt it. what a move that was. arsenal would have been proud of that
Alessandra and Bembo involved in that move as well!

Did I read right somehwere that Seb Hines is playing regularly for Middlesborough?
Woeful.
Scott McNiven, Clegg, anyone > Hines.

Apparently its not the money thats stopping Morais signing, its the length of contract. We've offered till the end of the season he wants a year +.
-
Taylor did brilliantly for the first goal. Stephens finished well, Scholsey esq arriving late on the edge of the box.

Apparently told the Rochdale Board he was going to Milton Keynes to scout/enquire about a potential signing, when really he was at Barnsley having another interview. He spouts on about loyalty and respect with regards to McArdle and a few others in the past yet he has shown none of both to Dale.
Good manager, chats too much though!
