  1. My wish would be to merge the forums making the main forum busier so there is plenty of interesting threads to read so you can choose to not put up with the :censored:. I think the mods seem to be a bit over zealous at enforcing certain rules and not others. Too many threads locked or moved for my liking, there is hardly any interesting discussion any more. Like it or not this is the only part of the forum which gets a decent amount of posts on a regular basis, the quality of which has sadly dropped dramatically recently. I'm pretty sure in the past the posters were on the whole left to their own devices, which made it much more interesting.

Anyway thats my 2 pennies worth not that it matters. I propose merging forums and the mods laying off a bit, then i would probably enjoy the forum a lot more again.

  2. Why is the Vuvuzela getting people up in arms? It is part of the African football culture. Yes it maybe annoying but the World Cup is in Africa and thats the atmosphere they create. Its not new or unexpected it has been seen at the African Nations.

If the World Cup was being played at BP everyone would be calling for FIFA to ban booing, moaning, groaning and negativity, but they wouldnt because thats the atmosphere we create ;)

  3. it looked like they scored a good goal from where i was sitting, we dont have to make excuses all the time, it is not always someone's fault when conceeding. Thought the first half was dire, so lets give some credit to DP for once as we came out and looked a lot more dangerous in the 2nd half. If people are holding him accountable for the goal in this thread then surely he should also be accountable for making us play much better in the 2nd half no?

  4. Look you gits!! i pencilled in this weekend to do all my corrections for my dissertation but in my drunken state i have just realised i have left them in work which is now closed until tuesday meaning I now have nothing to do this weekend which means I will end up at Boundary Park, so please please please try your best to a win. I dont think I could cope coming to watch a defeat knowing in a parallel universe I would have just finished my Masters!!

feel free to edit the swearing

    good night!

  5. I had a season ticket for about 10 years before this season but I might get one next season purely because of the England offer, I like a gamble!

I wont be getting one after that until/if we move to the new ground. I hate coming to BP to watch football, its just full of negativity and misery through the combination of the fans, players, the decaying structure itself etc.

Sadly, I think if we don't move then the club will go to the wall because the fans have given up the fight, including me sadly.

  6. A scrappy game today, but it was always going to be with 2 teams fighting for their lives and the :censored:e pitch.

Happy with the 3 points and I am confident we are playing well enough at home to pick up the 4 wins which will take us over 50 points.

I can understand people not liking the manager but the Penney out chants are baffling me when things are picking up. IMO with Penney we have a chance to stay up, if we get rid of him and replace him with some ex Oldham love in like Ritchie it is likely to disrupt the team when they have begun to pick up points and we will be right back down there.

This isn't a happy clappy post saying Penney is our saviour, more of a plea for some patients and common sense from the fans while we are picking up points and edging towards safety.

  7. No. He doesnt. He has been nothing short of embarrasing each time he has come on so far. This is no slight on him, but he shouldnt be anywhere near the team at the moment.

As has been said, if we are 9 points clear of relegation with two games left, then Eaves gets a game. Now - stay in the stiffs lad.

    Very harsh IMO

I have seen 2 of his appearances and they could have been no longer than 10 mins each. In neither of those did he come across as embarrassingly bad, he just didnt get into the game, which to be fair is difficult in such a short space of time. If he gets a full run out and is embarrassingly bad fair play.

  8. he stated that he started supporting the team when we were in a similar position as now. So are you happy about the current team and stadium proposal?

Just shy of 30 years would probably see the club in the equivalent of The Championship I would have thought.

Stadium proposal I am happy with, team hit and miss some good points some bad, its not making me suicidal.
