I’m done… and so should he be.

You forgot to add that they said especially Norwood after that. Hence BP1960s post.
He was saying it about all the players multiple times throughout the match. Him singling out Norwood was bizarre given he ran more than most and at least took a few shots.- 2

Insipid. We have stolen a draw against a team of already relegated part timers.
NLTV Oxford based commentator (82nd minute): “These Oldham players just don’t look very interested…. Not much effort”. That is damming!
We have collapsed in slow motion this season. Abysmal form in the first and fourth 1/4’s of the season have killed us.
2 wins from the last 13. Only the two teams that will be relegated have won fewer games in that time.
Does Mellon deserve another year? Not for me. Looks clueless and spent.
The decision makers (DR) need to look in the mirror too and do we trust them to make a decent move with the next appointment?

Ni. He said all the Oldham players don’t look interested.- 1

If this match plays out the same way in the second half then it will be the sort of performance that can (should?) get a manager sacked.

Sounds much the same as usual at the Goals centre in Oxford, according to Twitter. They don't look arsed, apparently. Even if they hate the fans, manager and club in general, why don't they want to do it for themselves? It's like 3, possibly 6 games, then they can vanish for the summer. Weird..
We are so easy to play against and play through.
We have no spark or energy. Whilst we’ve dominated possession and had shots… I’d argue they have had the highest number of good chances.
Poor game between two poor sides so far.

If we don’t beat these comfortably then it will be very very worrying.

The amount of ads on here is becoming a bit troublesome.

Wow u praised Gardner
Say what I see. He’s mostly been a passenger this season. He was good today. -

Gardner is playing for a new contract 100%
Cannot afford to give him one as 60 minute players in this League with only four outfield subs kill you. If we fell for it and handed him another 12 month I bet we wouldn't get 20 games out of him, agree about Lundstrum - his first thought now is positive and it makes all the difference, hopefully he can carry that through to next season.
Deffo. I wouldn’t give Gardner a new contract. Too old, too weak.- 1

Gardner and Lundstram brilliant today.
Probably one of Gardners best ever performances, ended by yet another injury… and def Lundstram’s best.
Decent for large parts, but wasteful.
Odd subs.

Aye. First game for ages I’m not bothering with.
I’ll be there… but I won’t stay beyond half time if it’s another shit show. Never even thought about that before.

Surprised nobody has mention Kitching. In that second half he didn't try to beat a man once to get to the byline. What's happening in his head? Seems to have no confidence.
Mellon in post match interview actually said we haven't got a right back. Where's Sachdev? We've needed one for 2 seasons now and we (the fans) told Unsworth at the meet the manager event.......
Ps how many corners didn't get past the first man?? Basics.....
Kitching has been turning back for weeks now… he simply will not try to beat the man to get to the byline. It’s weird.- 1

I'd keep Conlon, he's been a disappointment and wasn't good today but I think he's someone who'd benefit from a pre-season. I'd keep Hobson. Wouldn't be sad to see anyone else leave at all.
Hobson is the one I guess I’d miss… but he’s most likely to leave. Could play at a higher level easily. -
Take Sutton and Dallas out and the average age of that starting XI is almost 31.
We have no pace and no obvious hunger… is age part of the reason?

It's saved us the customary play-off disappointment I suppose - let's be honest, we are nowhere near League Two standard.
Give Mellon a summer to plan and recruit, ditching as many of this year's squad as we can. Too many have been feeble all season, and particularly over the past 6 or so games when they needed to push on.
In the event, far too many lacked the quality or courage required and should have scuffed their last ball in Latics colours.
Dont like to pick on individuals, but if McGahey and Hogan are at BP next season, I might not be.
Over to you Latics - I live in hope...
Just those two? I wouldn’t be arsed if any/all of them left.
To be fair, Norwood and Dallas are players… they’ve proved it. Not many of the rest have.
Grifters and chancers all over the pitch.

Cue the melts on here praising the team for a better second half performance.
Can’t see anyone doing that.
This has been dire again. We deserve nothing from this game.
Season is over.

Subs anyone?

We can’t even buy a jinx. That was primed for Conlon to put the free kick in the top corner moments after you said this. He didn’t even take it
Pirlo… er, sorry Gardner must take all dead balls! Even though he’s shit at them!

Never a right footers free kick. Stupid.
