  3. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_6185888,00.html Leeds have replaced beckford. I cant see them having a season like the last one now
  4. Ok lets say its Dickov, why cant we as fans back a manager for once, he has not even signed a contract yet and we are saying he is sh1t. Do we really every season want a new manager? It is impossible for the TTA to get a manager we all would want so lets back the guy for once, the money we used to pay penny and i guess gray we could have bought a player. Big joe was the manager for the end of 08/09 season and only won once but still fans wanted him to sign for last season (09/10) even tho he only won 1 out of 10 i think it was just because his last time here. If we go a goal down dont start to cry and start boo ing cos we seen last season that did not help, we never won once we went a goal down and i think only twice we went a goal down to come back and draw. We never know he might be the man to get us out of this league. Look at peterbough, fergie jr's first managers job and he took them up in his first season. Lets support them instead of jumping on there back every time they make a mistake.
  5. Did our goalkeeping coach leave just after penny?
  6. +1 Im all for giving new managers a chance, we did ok under shez and dowie but they had a bit of cash behind them. I guess we will never know if its good or not until xmas time when the league starts to take shape. I just hope we give him longer than a season, we should aim for mid table this season and move on the next.
  7. Of the sky sports site http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_6184250,00.html
  8. Are you one of those 20 or so people who did the facebook protest by any chance? Wait till next week before you throw all your toys out of your pram.
  9. Did i see a week or 2 ago that it was extended until the fixtures came out? Maybe there waiting till friday once the season ticket discount ends, if thats there plan then there will be a lot of un-happy people in town.
  10. What do you think the chances are tomorrow that we will find out who it is, if they dont say anything tomorrow can we take it that there number 1 choice has turned it down.
  11. Do you think they will beat Derbys lowest points total?
  12. Just seen this on another topic http://www.owtb.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=30118 could this be the first of the bigger teams going, i mean rangers not that other team
  13. I agree things will only happen if a big team goes but it will most likely be too late then, football needs a big kick up the arse and the sooner the better
  14. It says that everything was going to plan but then Royal Bank Of Scotland said no to the repayment plan and thats what has caused this, surly now is the time for the salary cap. I dont follow rugby much but its not every week we hear this team has gone out of business and this team has. When will they do the salary cap when only the top 10 teams are left.
  15. Had a quick look on google, sky sports and yahoo and i cant find anything, i found a page saying the admin company are owed £4.5m
  16. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_6182403,00.html If they went out of business would that mean sheff wed would go back to the championship? If so would come upto our league Morecambe or rotherham
  17. BBRM was joking around i did not click the link, it made the managers tread intresting for 10 mins tho yehh.
  18. QUOTE Oldham managing director Simon Corney has issued the following statement on Monday afternoon:- "I am delighted to announce Martin Gray as the new manager of Oldham Athletic. Promoting an assistant manager to the lead role is often seen as a cheap or safe option, but I can assure all Oldham fans that I have selected Martin because I truly believe he is the best candidate for the job. I have also been impressed with Martin's hunger to manage again. I have always sought ambitious managers and there is little doubt that he is as enthusiastic and ambitious as ever. Martin will be assisted by Lee Duxbury, who needs no introduction to Latics fans. Lee has been an extremely loyal servant for our club but it is Lee's talent as a coach that has earned him this appointment which I know he will relish. Martin's and Lee's existing knowledge of the current players will allow them to hit the ground running, but they have already made me aware that they will be implementing their own philosophies and ideas and adding to a squad that only just survived relegation last season." Please please please let this be a very very late april fools joke, Lee duxbury as number 2 i would be happy with but dave penny jr no thanks
