  1. Give it a rest, eh?!

How was he supposed to know that Rubes was going to do that?

Also, 'he's got no motivational skills' people, did you not see how much better we were in the 2nd half?

Crikey, when we get 6 points from the next 2 games, you'll be more depressed than most of us are now!

    KTF!!

    Joe

Edit - One critisism I would have was bringing Windass on instead of Lewis.

Hughes sole man up front, with Lewis playing just behind next game please!!

Please Please tell me your joking.

  2. I saw it think he was blaming Hazells silly error for the goal we conceded....to be fair gregan was the only one due any credit today...Hazell did soct us the goal but we wouldnt have scored if we were still playing in 3 hours....and i have said that too many times this season that has been our problem...

I thought he was pointing out to us that we had " :censored: all" up front.

He was right. He was just unfortunate that he was the player closest to us so we took our anger out on him. I just wish Windass had the bollocks to come over. He was perhaps the only Tic to come out of it with credit.

  3. Yeah i guess so. I reckon that's the way that Windass sees it too.

It's a shame he feels the need to voice his opinions on that blog. It doesn't help his relationship with the fans. The Windass/Hughes partnership wasn't working but i don't think it was down to a lack of effort. The strikers really do feed off scraps. Against Bristol Rovers, Hughes was laughing at the start of the 2nd half with Liddell about his penalty miss. When Hughes got subbed he legged it down the tunnel. Windass was subbed earlier in that game but sat and watched the rest of the match on the touchline. How come Hughes always comes away smelling of roses but his strike partner gets binned off?

Hughes stayed on the bench and watched the rest of the game. I watched him leave the field of play, fully expecting him to storm down the tunnel, but he put his tracksuit top on and sat down with the rest of the subs on the bench.

And as for the reason Hughes comes up smelling of roses (and I'm not Hughes' biggest fan by any stretch of the imagination) is that he has scored 17 League goals for us already and we have only just entered March. Contributing far more to our promotion charge than Windass (1), Alessandra (4), Byfield (1), Davies (0), Ormerod (0).

    No Danger.

  4. Tough one I think, Eardley had his first good game this season, Maher, Allott and Gregan battled well for the ball, Reuben definatley struggled against Beckford.

Personally, Its going to Kabba, ran his socks off, he did look very tired before he came off but overall he brought strength and skill to a team that needs it if we are to go up.

    What a ridiculous statement.

  5. Taylor? Hughes? Smalley? - Who gets your vote?

    Kevin Maher by a mile.

I'm sure some people have just voted for Taylor because he scored the winner.

Any chance of limiting this so that only people who have been at the game can vote.

  6. Its sad that he very rarely mentions his current team and thier plight for champinship football, but at the same time he is hull through and through and I cant fault him spouting off about em at every opportunity, they are in the prem and centre of attention, he is very proud of this fact...for me he can do whatever TV appearence, interview or blog he likes if he is producing the goods for us, same as any player can do whatever they like, get pissed 7 days a week as long as they perform sat aftanoon...we as football fans are fickle as :censored:, only second to WWE, if he has a blinder in the next 2 games he will be one of our own again, and no one will give 2 hoots about his blog...me included

    I love Wrestling me, Jacko!!!

    Actually, it's :censored:e.

  7. err because it's fact!!!

We're in the bottom 6 budgets in the division and the top 6 of the league. Despite last night's debacle, lets be honest times aren't bad for a side with our support / finances.

    What do people expect ???!!!??

Do people believe we will be challenging in the Championship ? Not on your life, christ listening to everyone after the second home lost of a season ... I realy dread what would happen if we went up and were fighting off religation all season. Probally be down to less than 3K home fans at BP.

Sometimes I think Latic fans have been watching to much premiership and hanging around with their Manu mates ..... this is the third tier of the English league

No, knobhead. Corney said last week or the week before we are in the top 10 in budget terms.

    Go and support United.

  8. I'm not saying it wasn't bad defending. But it's clear the luck just wasn't with us on the night. The bad defending didn't undo us... the lucky defelection did (as it was heading straight to the keeper to gather).

Also, getting rid of Shez tomorrow. And that's going to improve us as a team and and a unit with immediate effect? I think some of the things tonight, such as the dropping of Maher and failing to address the problem (i.e. Whittaker) when he had the chance shows he's well short managerial-wise, but any manager is judged on results over a period of time. I think failure to get us to the play offs and promotion (or even if we lose, but go down battling hard and to a better team) then he should probably fall on his sword in the summer. But getting rid of him tomorrow? Well, we may as well kiss goodbye now of any chance of getting there and look forward to next season.

    I already have.

  9. Not surprised to see the massive overreaction on the board yet again after another bad [half] performance. Ahh well, kept me well entertained anyway, and put a smile on my chops after coming out of there just over an hour ago with a pretty glum one.

Could have been so much different this game. Seeing the chances and goals again on SSN just reinforced that view considerably. Dubious penno in the extreme and although Hughes hit it firmly it was far too near the keeper. But the Windass chance was excruiatingly unlucky, cannoning off the bar like that, straight into the back of the keeper yet the ball drops with a dead thud for him to pick up. We created chance after chance in the first half, while repeatedly letting them off the hook.

Half time, they must be sat there saying "Cor, we're still in this. After being mullered and them missing two glaring chances". Our dressing room must have been a picture.

Warning after HT when their guy sliced through our defence and lost all composure. Then another break through as he dances round several challanges, nearly loses control before hacking a shot which was unfortunately defelected. Rotton luck #2.

Chance soon after for Hughes... drops nicely for him in the box, how much of us would put our houses on him to bag... yet he completely miscues the ball. Rotten luck #3.

Even their second goal was a scuffed shot, yet falls to their man who fluffs his lines, yet the ball drops again for him to finish it off. Bad luck #4, #5 and #6.

Thought Sheridan was an absolute loon for leaving the steady Maher our and putting rickitty Whittaker back in. He was abysmal all game and it was left to Allott to try and carve out chances and try and get the ball to our wide men.

In short, a few shortcomings with Shez (again)... but how many would have forgotton those had Windass netted that chance and we'd gone on to record a narrow win (which I'm sure would have been likely had we got that first goal to settle ourselves)?

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to see us go down to Millwall and do them over once again.

    Jamie,

    Re: Your "rotten luck" theory.

Rotten Luck 2 - He should not have got in that position to shoot anyway, got past El Cap and Golbourne far too easily. It's not bad luck, it's poor defending.

Rotten Luck 3 - He's a centre forward, it's not bad luck that he miscued, it's poor front play.

Rotten Luck 4,5 and 6. - We let Lambert get a free shot, left the lad unmarked in front of the keeper and let him have it again after a keeper save. Not bad luck, awful defending.

What is bad luck is that we will still have that clown in charge in the morning. And that even bigger clown up front.

  10. True, but if they cant get the ball of Whits/Allott/Golbourne/Hines, what chance have they got?

It's alright giving them the ball in your own half and telling them to get to the goal line and cross, having to beat two, even three men in the process. They really come alive when they get the ball in the oppositions half and get to the goal line. This second thing didnt happen at all.

Smalley and Taylor saw plenty of the ball and kept running it out.

  11. Hughes never looked interest, too busy thinking about his huge signing on fee in the summer at Doncaster.

Shez, close the door on your way out.

I'm trying to bite my lip here, but.................................you useless bunch of :censored: cowards, I fork out pound after pound watching you play :censored: all over the country and you don't have the decency to put any pissing effort in!!!!

TTA, do us all a favour - sack that prick and get someone in who can motivate a side.
