  1. Mark Allott caused alot of problems today, Dean Windass looked ok. Deane Smalley wins it for me. Caused problems all afternoon. Hope he can get a run in the first team now.

    Is that a joke?

Gregan or Allott. Not fussed which.

  2. If Shez gets us promoted this year, I'm sure you'll come back with a full aplogy.

Shez might have said 'Davies is not leaving Boundary Park', but have you not though this was to back-up what he was saying to Davies behind closed doors? Putting his faith in Davies? Yet Davies still failed to deliver. Its basic management, you try and get someone to do what you want them to do. If theys dont deliver, come out with something publically about him sorting his head out and he's still in your plans. If he still doesnt deliver, get rid. Case Closed.

Any club at this level has to play players out of position. FACT.

You do know football is only a game dont you?

    Do you like conspiarcy theories?

Monopoly is only a game. When I, and many others, spend the money we do watching Latics, Football is a lot more than "only a game".

  3. Comment from today's match programme from Alessandra, about his game at home to Scunthorpe: "Someone shouted early in the game 'Well done Lewi, you're having a great game' and that really lifted me and spurred me on to get my 3 goals."

Well if one of them useless tossers on the park were having a great game today, someone will have told them.

    But none of them were.

  4. in that respect then him and taylor should be fantastic on tuesday night, once the windows closed, fingers crossed

    cant wait already

The speculation, and that cloud I spoke of, will not go until a decision is made one way or the other. Even through Feb, March, April and May, if he hasn't signed a deal, the speculation will still be there.

  5. The whole 'mates' and 'top boys' thing is a load of crap. Where was his 'best mate' in Lidds today? Was Davies his mate when he begun the season in the side? Same for O'Grady....or did Shez want his mate in Hughes sat on the bench to chat with.

Shez's mates is a load of OWTB induced bull:censored:. If he had more mates in the team maybe they wouldnt let him down week after week....

Now as for the stale tactics......442 with 2 wingers who want to be centre forwards? 3-5-2 on tuesday please. Our squad and problems makes it an obvious choice.

Don't be silly - he won't play anything other than 4-4-2........Ever.

  6. was gbetting more and more frustrated with the team the longer the game went on....

best player on the pitch was there keeper, had a great game.

windass still managed to produce some good flick ons and his awareness of others is still there...but come on asking a 39 year old to play 3 games in 7 days is pushing it...

yes the square ball from whittacker should have been made, both hughes and windass open in front of goal.

:censored: game from two :censored: teams, not sure the boos were justified at half time and full time, but again its the second half of the season and we looked rubbish.

cant understand why the ref didnt send there player off either, must have commited about 8 or 9 fouls,he should of gone but the ref was spineless.

About that lad, I'd love us to have a player like that to unnerve centre backs.

  7. wasnt he offside anyway?

sell our best striker at the club?, which i dint think you can dispute, he is

Not for the header - the one in the first half, which was even worse, he was offside for that one.

He is our best striker (which I think says more about the rest of them as opposed to him), but he is playing under a massive cloud of uncertainty at the moment and it is reflecting badly in his performances.

  8. I wouldnt sack him just yet because I think it would diminish our slight chance of promotion via the play-offs. Or would a new man bring the typical new manger run of results and get us going??

I love Sheridan, personally sponsored his shirt one season, but unless there is a serious improvement, starting on Tuesday and sustained for a few home games, I'd show him the door. Cutting my nose of to spite my face maybe, but I'd do it out of principle.

I like him too, he's done a lot for us, but we will never leave this division with him at the helm I'm afraid.

  9. It's still in our hands...the chasing pack are faltering and when all's said and done, we've pulled away from those below us.

Can't help but feel we need to win on Tuesday now, or we're probably going to have to go to Leicester and pick up all three points. Knowing Latics that's exactly what we'll do.

    KtF

How can you be so positive?

There is always one team who slips out of the pack. I have no doubt that will be us with that inept tosser in charge.

  10. Well that was crap. Seen that game at Latics a thousand times, scrappy and boring as :censored: ......not a word of a lie I was nodding off at one point.

Fleming did well, great save towards the end. The back 4 were decent I suppose.....don't much like Golbourne and his fancy over-exagerated technique though. He lookes a bit of a :censored: when nothing comes from it. Ratters was decent, Whittaker less so - had he squared even Hughes/Windass would have scored the tap in (I think - was sat in the Rocky this was at the Chaddy). Taylor was quiet...always always cuts inside, as does Smalley who was garbage. Had Lidds come on today I would have been praising the lord. Why does he ALWAYS neglect to go outside the fullback, dust him for pace and whip it in on his favoured foot to instead cut inside onto his left, run into a bunch of defenders and fall over the ball. If you're gonna cut in shoot for :censored: sake Deane!!!!

Windass was absolute garbage. So much for getting better with every game Dean.....I'd be revoking that contract offer sharpish. As for Hughes, I've never seen a 'fox in the box' poacher miss so many :censored: sitters. He has missed more sitters than he has scored goals this season, and I only really see home games.

Fully agree, and he does it in away games too.

But, wait a minute, we aren't allowed to criticise the Special One on here are we??

  11. As it was bar a silly, yet overblown incident at Rochdale, before he left the club on loan, some fans like to believe rumours about players they dislike and ignore the ones about their favourites.

    100000000000% spot on.

I know a certain Number Nine with a colourful past who can do no wrong to some Latics fans.
