  1. I thought I'd read the issue was the drainage not working properly and the excess water is killing the grass

Isn't there a brook or something that runs underneath the pitch? Supposedly the North Stand has impacted the drainage of this so it just builds up. Since we've built the new stand when its rained for a while you can see that part of the pitch from chaddy end penalty box (north stand side of the penalty area D) to just past halfway RRE side is more of a bog.

  2. Both Taylor and O'Neill have played very little first team football this season and have now both played 5 first team matches within 14 days. They have both shown glimpses of what they can offer and will start to be more consistent once their match fitness increases and the schedule less hectic. Hopefully!

  3. Looks like we're cut adrift of Chesterfield now and vitally we haven't given valueable ground away to Swindon in a game they ought to have won.

    Onwards we go.

Would have preferred Chesterfield to win or at least draw as it would have kept some space between us and Bury.

However, good away point and now gives the players a full week to recover until the next game especially those who haven't played much this season.

  4. Spoke to a Bolton fan today they would be glad for him to go and it frees up a place for them to bring someone else in as they

are still in an embargo. I think a deal will be done before the end of the window.

If Bolton are happy for him to go I wonder whether we could get him on a permanent deal? Would still leave us with the option of signing someone else on loan.

  5. So we get new fans coming along for a free match and then we stick the prices back up to 24 quid?

    Mindless if that's the case.

Had a quick look on the Bradford site and adult tickets were £20 which was the advance price before the the reduced price offer.

Once again it's a short term view from the board. They'll be back moaning about hardly any fans turning up again soon.

  6. I am trying to understand why from a marketing perspective you would do it way they have - and cannot think of any good reason.

But from a financial perspective you wouldn't want to reduce prices for the big away crowds would you?

I can understand it from a financial perspective. Just the fact that they were advertising us as having the lowest league one prices at the P'boro game but then (without actually saying anything) put the prices back up. It's an easy way to annoy and put off anyone thinking about coming to the game.

  7. Maybe it'll be reintroduced after Bradford and their 3000+ fans have been and gone at full price?

    Maybe. Maybe not.

Although if it is full price then the club should answer as to why it was being advertised during the P'boro game that we have the lowest priced league one football tickets.

Easy way to put off fans who might have been considering returning. Turn up expecting to pay £15 (as advertised by the club) and then get told its £24. Club would be shooting themselves in the foot once again...

  8. While I agree with your assessment that they used it as a way to bin him off for poor form, a discipliniary process can take weeks.

They probably waited for the FA report. Then gave notice of an internal hearing (minimum seven days?). Then a few days to make a decision. Then an appeals process.

Wouldn't he have been placed on gardening leave/suspended like we did with Tuohy and Montano?
