  1. Will be meeting my old man and few others travellin down from Oldham in a pub in Charlton around 1pm (although im sure they will be there earlier). Not sure which yet! Will hopefully see you all in attendance at the game, enjoy your day out and hope it doesn't snow!

    my old man :disappointed:

  2. I bumped into Paddy shopping in Burton today. I asked him your question. He said Shane Meadows has the rights and he, Paddy, contrary to some reports, is not involved in the project. He's busy directing his own films these days.

Paddy said he has never watched that film.

blimey, thats going the extra yards...cheers diego

  3. Any chance this could be called off ? Last night was PP against Bournemouth.

I very much doubt it..forecast is for a spot of rain but nowt too heavy..we had a good downpour yesterday afternoon which would have had an immediate effect upon the suface for last night.

so long as the rugby lads don't run about on it and the groundsman gets his finger out and the forecast is only 50% accurate it should be the superb footballing surface that the memorial ground is reknowned for...:huh:

  4. never lived in the town or borough, born in Ashton but lived elsewhere mainly Bristol for the last 24 years...could have been a red, but decided to be the black sheep of the family...started watching Latics on me tod as a 13 year old when we got promoted from Div 3...never looked back since...

its in my blood and bones...my lad who was born in Bristol is Latics as well...he's more annoyed about whats happening than me presently...

I think for a lot of the old ''uns on here its all about nostalgia...and to a lesser extent...what might happen in the future...imo

    KTF...IDWT :zigga:

  5. all the boozers mentioned are south of the ground..ie you have to go past the ground to come back on yourself..if coming down the a38...as an alternative you have The Inn on The Green which is dirctly opposite Horfield leisure centre off the a38 about a 5 minute walk from the ground...its a real ale pub with an assortment of decent ales and ciders...a big annexe area with big screen..generally away fan friendly

a little further down is the Duke of Gloucester as well...although this is generally an inferior pint
