Notts County's compensation and the likely sale of Coleman must of improved the budget surely??
-
It sounds like we are preparing ourselves for another underwhelming appointment. We need a manager who knows this division already because he has his work cut out with our shower of :censored:e-of a club. We have the compensation money from County which will balance out the money lost from the season ticket promotion. It looks like we are selling Coleman, the money from this needs to used on getting a decent gaffer. Shez showed with his loans that you don't need to splash the cash to succeed at this level, you just need someone in charge who knows what they are doing.

It definitely reminds me of when Steve Eyre was appointment Rochdale manager with the idea of him bringing his City youngsters to the club. That didn't pan out to well.
-
I think people would be more serious about a refund if they had paid full wack.
-
A new topic for just that :censored:e post??
-
That one where he was dour and miserable?
The one when the reporter really had to twist his arm to make him say he was staying at Latics!
-
Maybe he was just offered more money, simple as that?
You could tell from his post match interview (was it after Millwall?) that it looked like he wouldn't be here next season.
-
What?! Back on 1 March when the offer was launched? Give over.
Their campaign has been along the lines of 'show your support to John Sheridan next season' up to this week.
-
I won't be asking for a refund but I think it was blatant false advertising selling STs using Shez as their advertising campaign. They must of had a idea there was a good chance he wouldn't be here.
-
Good set of fans and nice to see every single one join in the applause at the start
And they applauded the youth team at h/t.
-
The theory that it's a :censored: match day experiance at Rochdale?
No the fact they can't pull a decent crowd no matter how well they are doing. I can't comment on their match day experience but they've got a decent ground so it can't be that bad.

Middleton. Heywood. Ashton. Stanlybridge.
Eh City and United territory...

Burnley is a smilar sized town to Oldham. Burnley FC however is not within a few miles of a club with one of the best sides in Europe, and also man united. Plus they have a pretty decent history - 2 titles, an FA cup, and the quarters of the european cup. They're a much bigger club than us.
Burnley's population might be similar but they are surrounded by smaller towns without a professional football team, Bacup, Rawtenstall, Nelson, Todmorden etc

Why what do rochdale do to make it a good day out
Rochdale had one of their most important home games in history the other week when they played Gillingham, a win would of leapfrogged them into the playoffs. The attendance was 2300. Rochdale prove your theory wrong.

The old get out of jail. There's plenty of people in the surrounding areas and oldham itself that don't go and watch a match on a Saturday. ...Oldham fans included. It's like everything else in life if the product was good and at the right price it would sell
Tell that to Rochdale.

We didn't sign Richardson until we'd been relegated, did we?
Correct, Richardson and Billy Kenny were our summer signings when we dropped from the Prem.
-
Think bury are outdoing us on that front this season.
Latics should just take a look and see what their fans are upto and realise a few pyros being lit after goals aren't as bad as it is down the road
Why what's going on?? It can't be any more than a few dicks ballooning, organised trouble is a thing of the past
-
there was no kids anywhere near the bottom until the stewards got orders to line up across the RRE.
We have become the Millwall of the north!
-
Stay clear, even if he's innocent he's proved himself to be a totally thick :censored:.
-
Sometimes when a manager keeps a team from being relegated he struggles to progress in his second season. Look at Shaun Derry at Notts. County and Ronnie Moore at Hartlepool for example...
-
More importantly were there any flares or pitch invasions?
-
There really are some sad cretins that follow us...
Hey...I couldn't afford a season ticket for the first time in about 10 years the season we had the Grimsby freebie game (paid in every home game still) and got locked out of it. Did I piss and moan about it??? No...it's life...
I missed Celebration Sunday due to getting run by overwhelming numbers, in prearranged shenanigans in Shaw during the match. I wish I went to the match instead.

Have Blades ever brought 2000..?
First game of the season 2011
-
Was that on tv? Didn't know that.
Hahahahahaha you made yourself look a right dick.
