I'd rather Rochdale get in the playoffs than a Yorkshire club. Fair play to them.

Nothing wrong with betting against your own team. Hardly like you're cheering on the opposition. It's about being objective...
If you've got money resting on the other team to win, where do your loyalties lie?
-
At least I won £90 with Barnsely to win by 2 at 9/1
What a prick. I bet you had a big grin on your face when they got their 3rd. :censored:.

I wouldn't call backtracking on an earlier statement that Latics wouldn't be signing a rapist after a dodgy run of form having 'bollocks'. Quite the opposite, in fact
Maybe they changed their minds after listening to what he had to say?
-
I'm actually starting to feel proud of my club for doing this and for giving someone a second chance to rebuild their life.
I think a lot of other clubs are envious of the bollocks we have for going through all this.
-
Wonder not in my case, I don't like rapists regardless whether they have 5p or 5 million in their bank account.
I think if he was Joe Bloggs, people would have a more sceptical view of the whole incident. He made a very big mistake that night by turning up at the Premier Inn, but at the end of day it weren't even her word against his.
-
I do wonder if the circumstances about the case affect people's opinion. Does the factor he is a footballer and that his girlfriend and her family have stood by him make people feel more strongly against him?
-
You don't think there'll be anyone singing rapist songs? Even if not our own fans, Rovers fans will.
So if he signed for another club (eg Port Vale), When we next play Port Vale you wouldn't take your kids incase we sung songs with the words rapist in? Bollocks.
-
I will be there Saturday but I won't be taking my 9 year old son as I don't think a football game is the place to be explaining what a rapist is.
I don't get you. Unless you say to your son "See that man over there? He's a rapist!'', why would you have to explain what one is?
-
If he signs maybe all the rapists in the local area might come and show support??
-
Maybe we aren't signing him to play, maybe he will be our new mascot - ''Cheddy the Owl"??
-
I wonder how many of our commercial partners will question their involvement with the club?
Premier Inn might be interested!
-
Sold 650 at 2'.30.......wasn't there over 800 seats?
I think there was around 400 seats and 800 standing

he's got to be looking at a striker, with a track record surely?
does anyone think corney will dig deep for this one season because it's clear to me/all of us we're not going to lose many this season, which can only mean one thing - to win them we need to hit the onion bag!!!
LJ has already quoted that Corney has given him the money made from the JCH transfer to get a striker.
-
Have we signed Harry Hill?
-
When Celtic play in Manchester, they sing songs about Manchester getting blown up. Horrible fenian :censored:.
-
Korey Smith was voted MOM at Brizzle City on Tuesday night.
JCH was voted MOM against Middlesborough.

That can easily be reasoned away with larger capacities at certain grounds, and the mix of clubs in the top leagues. Bear in mind that 45,000 attending Man U every week and another fifty thousand eager to get tickets is still a far lower attendance than a redeveloped 75,000 capacity OT with a few seats free each week, but the actual 'bigger deal' part is a different story.
BTW, I'm not claiming that those figures are anything other than thrown together to illustrate a point.
This is off topic, but I was reading this earlier which I thought was interesting -
-
It was Smith who lost his man from the corner. I thought Wilson and Lockwood defended well yesterday.
-
Just have the small section of the RRE as the permanent home section, get the club to invest in a few banners like they have at Accrington Stanley and have that as our Ultras section. No one is being upset then.
-
I suggest if they are playin :censored: they will bring nowhere near.
-
They took 1100 to us last time we played.

Man City 3 Newcastle 3 in 1996. Tino Asprilla scored his first goal for Newcastle and Philippe Albert got a brace. Can't remember who scored for City.

Chesterfield away, Boxing Day 98.
