The powers that be obviously pay no attention to what the fans said about preferring to be in the RRE. Pay peanuts........!

Some time ago, someone on here did some hard work to find out who owned the new stand (Brass Bank Ltd - owned by Gazal and Blittz) and also revealed that Corney was a director of PCW Developments. He stated that Paul and Christine Whitehead and Gazal and Blitz were also on the board of this company. The Whitehead's are also directors of Holroy Developments, contracted to build the new stand.
Just looked at PCW Developments, and they have moved from a company with assets of over a £1m pounds to having liabilities of £1.1m to being dissolved. Wonder if this has any implications for Latics positive or negative!

Just hope we win next two games and maybe then we can start to enjoy it.

The Dean Brill Stand!
-
It's very hard to miss him in that black and white tracksuit!
-
Great noise from RRE which got everyone going. Terrific atmosphere - it must help the players having that noise throughout the game.
-
Why wasn't Turner on the bench last night or Saturday? Injury or doesn't he fit the profile of a Latics striker - he scores goals!
-
He just looked like a creative midfielder to me. Good engine, quick, looked after the ball and could finish.
-
Was our best player, most of our best attacking play came when he was involved. Glad he's doing as well as I knew he would. Still, we did get a big, fat fee for him didn't we? Oh no, another give away!
-
To survive three years was a good effort for a club like ours. Gates were falling as were the sales of season tickets in the second season so without a reasonable income who you gonna buy? Nice while it lasted.
-
With our luck the builders will assemble it facing Broadway - still the view will be better!
-
If he's a defensive midfield player and not a 'grinder' what does he do - keepy uppy in our box?
-
If he keeps the ball and Harkins keeps the ball well you know what comes next!
-
Will either of them be as memorable as Keigan Parker or Chris Iwelumo - the man who always tried to head the ball provided it was below waist height.

I thought Koukash said, unequivocally, that he had no intention of moving Latics away from Oldham. Not that it matters now.
Can't remember what we were talking about! Up the blues!

We have lost or got rid of players and not replaced them with those of similar pedigree eg Baxter, Rooney, Montano, Tarky. That's the issue.
-
This from the man who was going to take Oldham to Failsworth?
Koukash didn't deny what Corney said so I think it's fair to assume it's true. And as for Corney trying to move us down Broadway, he got that wrong not being from this area and not understanding how difficult it would have been for the fans. I remember a few coming on here saying that they'd have to catch a bus from Royton. From Royton! In the rest of the world people are used to using public transport but it was obviously a step too far for some!

Can't go to Crewe but really hope a decent number go to cheer our lads on to a very important win.
-
Corney said that Koukash wanted to move us to Salford and this was one of the reasons that everything came to a halt.
Where did you hear he wanted to move us to Salford ? He did say we needed a new stadium but he also said he wouldnt move us out of Oldham, whether he would of kept his word is a different matter but lets be honest all the promises made by the 3 amigos havent exactly come to fruition so why should we be so quick to judge Koukash ? I will go along with the train of thought that Corney is just the front for the other two he doesnt come across as anything other than blitz and gazals teaboy.

The worrying thing for me is that the teams around us are capable of scoring goals. Charlie Mac and Philly look like they couldn't score if the opposition played without keeper! Jonno's the same and then you're down to the young ones. Only Harkins is scoring at the moment. If the defence was water tight this wouldn't be as much of an issue.

If we go down then I won't be getting another season ticket. Not travelling from Surrey to watch League two dross. League one dross is bad enough! Depressing though isn't it?

And in honour of the RRE being the best place to watch Latics, let's give it up to the away fans despite our fans wishes!
