    Haha off again I see

Well you can fuck off tbh, I’ve probably been supporting this club a lot longer than you but have finally come to the conclusion that it isn’t enjoyable anymore and certainly not good value for money or my time.

Today was once again dreadful. The players don’t care and the manager is a total dinosaur and his team selections are absolutely shambolic.

If, by some minor miracle we get to the playoffs and Wembley I am sure I will come out of retirement but we all know that isn’t going to happen so with that, I am done.

Logging off OWTB and my love affair with Latics and heading off. Cheers all.

  2. I ducking hate this squad, took hours to get here through the rain and traffic and the feckin Dartford crossing and these lazy, spineless pricks can’t be arsed to even try

MM can fuck off too if he thinks this is acceptable. Second Half to come but really not sure I’ll be coming to watch Latics much after this, most of the enjoyment has gone and if the players don’t give a fuck why should we?

  3. Or, introduce a SAAS / SVOD model whereby you pay X (£40?) per month and that gets you free entry into all home games and other benefits which could be added to spice it up

I might sign up to something like that even though I live 200 miles away just to support the club and feel “part of it” they could bundle in “Ifollow” etc

I think it would be revolutionary in football and not need credit facilities as it is a subscription rather than acting as a credit broker

Yep…we’re still suffering fallout from those absolute useless bastards!!

So what they could do is offer half or quarterly season tickets with some kind of auto renewal option (which hopefully the vast majority will let renew)

That could be a way of spreading the cost for fans and although the club will have to manage the cash flow they would save on the credit facility costs

Yeah I had read somewhere that Aldershot make decent noise at home, but I was surprised at how loud they were. Easily the best atmosphere at a ground I’ve been to this season, and i’ve been to most. Fair play to em.

Some of the best fans in the league tbf, it’s actually great fun being over on that side of the East Bank. They have a real connection with their team and you can see how the players respond. They are are a slightly smaller version of what we should be

He’s had nearly 6 months at the club which is no time at all really but the fact that we can quite easily revert to repetitive shite like that time and time again is a massive concern.

That was an horrific display that got significantly worse after the half time team talk and several substitutions.

I couldn’t believe what I was watching today and it was obvious that several of those players had given up completely towards the end and their second goal was testament to that.

Whether we manage to make the playoffs or even win them we are destined for yet another mass player exodus in May and I’m not sure we will be able to get a new team together capable of promotion in just one season.

    A thoroughly depressing situation…..

I agree, we are fecked for a couple of seasons I suspect which seems pretty common for former EFL reams trying to sort themselves out after dropping down to NL, of course some never sort it out and are still here, or lower

    Hang on...

    Shez couldn't do it

    Unsworth couldn't do it

And now Mellon seems to be struggling.

Are we sure the manager is the problem?

Frank is handing over his hard earned. If I was him I'd be asking whether it's just the manager that's the issue, because I'm not sure it's just one person that's failing here..

Frank, bless him, has no clue about football and is trusting the Royles….you know the ones that hired and retained Unsworth

We are pretty much fucked for next season

  8. MM is not the right man for the job, he is spending the Rothwell family fortune and making us worse. Season ticket sales next season are going to be well down I would imagine and overall home and away attendances are already starting to decline.

Its mostly unwatchable and all the positivity is rapidly disappearing

Today was supposedly a huge playoff game and we took barely 400. It’s pathetic

  9. That’s it for me today, no chance this spineless bunch of twats is making the playoffs and if they did scrape in you would hardly back them in 3 cup finals.

MM is a horrific football manager, obviously gets teams promoted but my god is it awful to watch. I am not looking forward to next season already.

The team were pathetic today, Mellon was pathetic and the support was pretty dreadful too, we are not a club heading for promotion

Think you've answered your own question there as to why some won't bother...

Plus Halifax on Tuesday and a few aways down South relatively recently.

Us taking a lot away is a relatively new phenomena.  We'd be lucky to make 3 figures at some games in the the South in the '90s.  245's alright...

You know what? You’re all actually right! I have probably got a bit carried away with the last few years but on the other hand I’m fascinated by the business and human side of football and think the club could do a lot more to push away games…which are the only games I go to for the most part!

Only 245 sold so far. Still reckon we’ll pull 400+ but thought we’d take a few more tbh.

absolutely terrible that, we took 472 to Maidenhead and this is a far better atmosphere/ground against a proper football club and a key playoff match.

We should have been taking 700-800

Not looking forward to this nearly as much as I was tbh. It does not feel like a promotion push whatsoever

  12. Even bigger game now as we could slip out of the playoffs. Honestly with the lack of interest and lack of buzz from the club you’d think it was a mid table match. I don’t get it tbh. We should be looking at 1,000 for this but guess it will be the usual 450 or so. I think Mellon ball is starting to affect the enthusiasm for what is currently our first proper playoff chase for many, many years

  13. It’s such a shame that the home form and the confusion around various players and squad size etc is making what should have been an exciting playoff chase feel like a mid table trudge.

MM really has done a poor job with the home tactics and the club has done a terrible job of promoting away games where we are actually very good. No feckin mention of Aldershot, we should be taking a thousand to that now but suspect it’ll be the usual 450 or so. The club don’t seem to have any interest in away games which I assume is a financial decision.
