After watching the match yesterday i think without Gregan or Mvoto at the back i think we will be undone against strong big powerfull sides as our back four looks very small. We got caught out more than once against decent corners, free kicks before we scored. Abbott will do well against us and with the quality of Martin out wide i fear we may struggle.

I do believe though if we show the the same ammount of desire and work rate as we did yesterday we will give them just as many problems as well. Our midfield was outstanding.

Just been reported on SSN that the former Exeter City striker Adam Stansfield has lost his fight against bowel cancer aged just 31.

Thoughts go out to his family.

For me he will always be remembered by being called Lisa by by Jeff Stelling and the boys whenever he scored on the soccer saturday show.

The rumour is 350K up front and then some add ons as well including a sell on percentage.

What ever the fee is there is no money for Dickov according to the Chron and a statement given to them from Corney.

If it means covering the running costs of the club for a few months then so be it.

350K not bad ammount of cash up front for an untried or unproven striker.

To put some reflection on this deal.

Walsall only got 500k for Troy Deeney and he scored 14 goals last season and 27 in total at this level.

Like many others on this thread i am dissapointed that Purdie was not given a run maybe injuries, fitness or other players at the club in PD's opinion better than him.
