  1. Just back from the game as I live in Plymouth. It wasn't a 4-1 mauling but we didn't deserve to win the game.

Midfield in general was poor you wouldn't have know furman was on the pitch.

Smith won lots of headers but playing the system we do there was no one alongside him to take advantage of them.

Defensively very poor why M'voto needs to go to ground and dive in when he should have stayed on his feet and shown the attacker outside and away from goal to be fair the lad went over M'voto but by diving in the attackers mind was made up and he knew he could win the pen.

Baxter once again showed he his so much better than anyone on the pitch and tried to keep the team going pushing forward and connect play but even he had a off day with exception of his very good header and a long range effort when it was 2-1 that the whole ground thought was heading for the top corner until their keeper tipped it round the post.

Simpson shouldn't have been sent he went in earlier on 50/50 through ball with the keeper that he won and the ball was subsequently cleared off the line, the keeper got hurt that time but knew he lost out and I think he thought right here we go again I am going to get you sent off this time as it was exactly the same incident as the first 50/50 through ball Simpson got there first but this time their keeper was rolling around their defenders screamed at the ref and started pushing Simpson the ref bottled it thought i gave you the benefit of the doubt last time and sent him off.

Their last 2 goals was when we was chasing the game and although could and may have avoided bad pass in midfield from Furman have away possession and then within 5 secs the ball is in our net. The 4th I think Byrne tried to pass back to Deano but underhit it Deano slipped whilst trying to clear and the ball was in the net again.

All in all another defeat and some very poor performances by too many of the starting XI.

  2. Perhaps he has realised that there will be a long wait to be offered anything from Portsmouth so his agent or himself have but him back out there to a few seriously interested clubs. Us being one of them.

Bearing in mind this guy has been playing for Barnett for the past couple of seasons he is unlikely to have thousands of pounds stashed away so with the ongoing crisis and turmoil at Portsmouth and no contract on the table. Perhaps has decided that enough is enough and he needs a wage coming in.

Oldham in need of a striker decent pre season and a chance of league 1 football why wouldn't he be in talks with us.

  3. Welshgaz - i know the names i have mentioned are ambitious but why not here is my thinking.

Whitbread - wasn't first choice at Norwich won promotion with Millwall from league 1 and then got the move to Norwich so i doubt i he is on massive amounts of money.

Bruce - is a championship player but injuries and not being first choice at Leeds when Warnock took over means i doubt he would walk stright into another championship side.

Hall - injuries has plagued the past couple of seasons of his time with QPR and age is against him theses days, so again would doubt he would walk into a team higher than league 1

White - I guess will go to at least a Championship club as he was playing well when thrown back into the 1st team under Warnock but you never know

Davies - may fancy being the number 1 striker with a league 1 club and with Croft joining from Derby he may put in a good word for us.

Money is tight at the minute with all clubs, and players will realise this when they are asking for 5k plus a week and being turned down.

  4. Very pleased with how the squad is shaping up but still need the following IMO:

1st choice right back as i think Brown will be used as a utilty player from the bench.

1st choice centre half with League experiance Nathan Clarke/ Zac Whitbread/ Alex Bruce/ Fitz Hall all available on free's or Reece Brown back on a season long loan deal.

1st choice Left winger as looking through the squad i don't see we have one at all. Aiden White from Leeds available on a free did well here last time.

1st choice Striker with League experiance and who knows where the net is Leon Clarke / Freedy Eastwood / Roman Bednar / Steven Davis

  5. Like most fans on here i have been very impressed with the buisness that the club has done so far and the core of the squad is in place, 3 -5 more signings needed to make us a decent squad though. IMO we still need:

1st choice right back as i think Brown will be used as a utilty player from the bench.

1st choice centre half with League experiance Nathan Clarke/ Zac Whitbread/ Alex Bruce/ Fitz Hall all available on free's or Reece Brown back on a season long loan deal.

So far so good keep up the good work and heres hoping for a season to look forward to.

  6. He looks a decent find. Is getting better game by game the boy can tackle, win headers, has a great engine, looks to have a good attitude, can pass a ball more than 5 yards and find his man, has get one hell of shot on him, he gives us another option in midfield and on a limited budget like us that is priceless i think if he is in our budget range then he must be given a 12 month contract and PD hopes he keeps progressing the way he is.

  7. Gave it to Lee just because of his energy levels and the attacking threat he gives us. I thought he was awesome today up and down that right flank linked up well with Taylor big plus point.

I could have given the MOM to a number of them today:

Brown - A lot better at CB he was calm on the ball, strong and stood tall when it mattered with some crucial blocks, headers and tackles. On that display would love to have him back at the club for a season long loan next year but as a CB.

Cisak - No one can doubt his shot stopping ability although his decision making gives you some heart in the mouth moments but there is something for Paul Gerrard to work with.

Chumba wumba - looks a class act in the midfield and just seems to get better game by game he could be a real find if you keeps progressing like he his doing (sign him now for next season IMO)

  8. For all we know the lad might be desperate to sign for us.....it is more than likely his current club's demands are what's holding up the deal.

Dickov has already said he wants players hungry for the shirt and not the money.

Good job on the wages we would be offering!!!!

  9. I thought the reason why nothing was said yesterday was maybe because this new signing was going to be a season long loan deal and his parent club didn't want him cup tied, so they were going to announce something today post the Carling cup game.

However with nothing coming from BP today makes me wonder as if this signing isn't going to happen now, hope i'm wrong though.

  10. Clarke has been playing in the QPR reserves pre-season friendlies scored goals aswell.

Looks as if he has no future at QPR.

At the minute must be about 7th choice striker.

Wages maybe an issue but if he is being paid off by QPR to leave he may just want to play football.
