  1. In any promotion push your home fixtures are your bread and butter and over the past few seasons we have not won enough of them hence our poor end of season position.

We need to win more games at home if we are to be in mix come May. The signs are good the home form has improved and the way we set up and play our football away from home means we have every chance of picking up wins and draws away from S.D.COM.Park.

We are creative and in Forte we have a finisher, along with defensive options and being solid we really do have a decent shout.

Injuries, suspensions and the Jan transfer window I.M.O. will be the deceiding factors to a season concluding in a top half / mid table finish or a play off or better spot.

  2. The trick is to be the form team coming in to March - May. If we can keep the big players fit keep picking up points away backed up with good win percentage at home. We will be there or there abouts in my eyes.

Look at the teams we have played this season so far not one of them has played us of the park bar maybe Orient but we was awful that game and look where they are so far this season.

Big month or so ahead of we are still in the play off area. Strengthen the squad with one or two additions come January then :censored: it I am going to stick my neck out and say bring on the play offs.

  3. It may have something to do with their redevelopment of the ground by making the away fans all ticket it will give the club a figure of how many away fans are attending the game thus giving the home fans section a bigger or smaller amount of tickets for themselves.

By doing this i am guessing it prevents problems at the turnstiles on the day.

  4. Why is it all ticket for away fans and why do some clubs do this?

I sometimes I decide to go late in the week or even on the morning of the game.

It's a big enough ground and it's not as if there will be limited space....can someone explain the reasoning behind it.

What about the neutrals who just want to watch a game...also won't it increase the chances of Latics fans ending up in with City fans?

  5. 4 being bought tomorrow, travelling up from Plymouth. Don't get too many due to distance cost etc... Last one was Swindon away. Not going to miss this one. Hopefully we can give another good display but I am expecting a really good game against 2 in form teams.

Have spoken to a Bristol fan and he reckons they should have lost against Bradford and looking at the stats against Barnsley we have nothing to fear.

Hopefully we can take 500+ fans and have a great away day.

  6. It just shows how much stronger the squad is this season, when we are missing the key organiser / defender from the back end of last season and the Leader from the early part of this season.

We are still unbeaten hard to break down and scoring goals.

Hats of to LJ coaching staff and the scouting team.

  7. I never thought when i created this topic that it would cause so much debate and moral talking points.

I was anticipating simple one word or a one sentance answers but it has created a 10 page thread.

This is why we have a message board so that we can post and air their opinions. Some we agree with and some we don't. Just like being down the pub with your mates (with out the beer)

  8. Yes

Main Points were that LJ is really pleased with the team structure / and the feel good factor about the place / bringing the experienced players in Wilson, Forte, Lockwood & Elokobi have had a great effect on the squad.

Touched on Gibraltor / his dad / Corney and their relationship / and his playing career.

LJ gave a special mention to the fans and his backroom staff.

Some good comments raised and raises our profile on national radio.

  9. I served in the Royal Navy for over 20 years. After being lucky enough to visit many cities and towns around the world during my sevice,

Tallin is a great place full of wonderful people, great bars / clubs, beautiful women, a city which has a fantastic culture and amazing history and is in my top 5 places i have visited.
