About time we stopped using ‘toxic’ and ‘Piss boil’, they over exaggerate the activities of a relatively small portion of our fan base. Upset and angry? Yes, toxic, really?

Bit early for a poll, bit of mischief making

Draw away, win at home has always been a good mantra.

What are you watching on BP?
-
Yes a good listen and I share the sentiment but I don’t want to feel that I should turn the podcast off when my family are around. Let’s put it down to your illness Matt

Just a short time from that Lemsagan era and all that ‘all we want is our club back’. Some pathetic fans we have at our club, the minority thinking they represent the majority (arguably the proper supporters).
bit embarrassed by that lot today, again, but they won’t give a toss.

This constant griping from our fans is becoming irritating and really boring. It’s supposed to be a enjoyable pastime, we’re fifth tier, we’re an ok team, get behind them and stop bloody grumbling all the effing time.

Are we confident it’s Tunnicliffe?
starting tomorrow?

Let’s just agree to disagree re Freeman, agree that Fondop worth a shout, more likely to get a goal than Nuttall

It’s a squad game isn’t it, surely you have good quality cover in all positions if you can? Inevitably that means good players miss out, that’s a good thing. I would think only Norwood is guaranteed a first team spot for now, so the calls for Reid, Fondop, Willoughby all to start are ridiculous. Someone misses out and they fight to get in, supporting the first team until they get the chance. Same at centre back, I for one would certainly have Sutton last in the pecking order and if we play 442 then Hobson misses out too.
Englands women show us how to play 532/352, it can work depending on the quality of your wingbacks, I think we can play it with Kitching and Freeman which means Hobson in for either Sheron or Shelton but Unsworth will be pilloried if he tries it again any time soon.happy to stick with 442 and hope Green ( for Tollitt) and Lundstrum (for probably Shelton) can give us the lift we hope for.

Don’t agree BP, Raglan looks very good to me and Hogan doesn’t do much wrong

Come on, most of us would have picked that team, Green back for Tollitt and Lundstrom back will improve things. Didn’t mind a straight swap of Fondop for Nuttall, I might have brought Gardner on to provide creativity probably for Shelton, he can often disappoint though. That’s on the players tonight, they couldn’t work out how to break down a well organised unit, thought Halifax were a decent team

But we’ve had lots of ‘this won’t happen again from one of my teams’ speeches which pacify some fans but never amounts to much, Sheridan being an example
-
England’s women play 352, it’s not really that difficult so long as your two wide men have both defensive and attacking qualities coupled with pace and stamina, if they don’t have those alongside an appetite to get up and down the pitch then you shouldn’t really play it.

As far as opening days of the season go that was an interesting one... Designated driver... Car hit in the car park whilst we were having a pre setting off breakfast leaving a dent by the rear passenger wing, perp fucked off leaving no details... Arse handed to us on a plate by a team with 14 contracted players... Blow out on the A1 87 miles from home, 2 hours in a lay bay waiting for a mobile tyre fitter who relieved me of £279 for the privilege as the car has no spare and the tyre repair kit didn't work... Flashed by a speed camera less than a mile from home at around midnight so another 100 quid and 3 points to add to the day... Still, only 3 points off the top... I may drink today.
Sorry inspector but that has made me chuckle, great times following Latics, things can only get better

Is a national league highlights programme available this season anyone?

Ryan McLaughlin should make a good right wing back at this level, hope he signs

I first started watching Latics in the tangerine kit, for that reason I absolutely love it.
-
No picture yet on tv anyone else?
-
I have to admit that I'm surprised at that. Might be promising but needs to get much more involved in the game and play more dynamically, particularly given the position we're in. Hope he's up for the fight.
-
Erm, he’s had one game....
-
No he’s not, looked ok when I’ve seen him, maybe a bit slow but good enough for L2

Should he just take abuse without giving a little bit politely back? Don’t blame him for that particularly, we need him to show he’s up for the fight if he’s going to be here a while. Jumping on everything he says is getting a bit tedious.
