  1. i would hope that if we did go up,the club relocates away fans to the chaddy end...and keeps us in the newer stand....

any temp stand could be organised...you dont need to put a roof on it...so chaeper still....

if we do go up and we consolodate in midtable for a few seasons i dont see any reason why attendances wouldnt go up...away crowds would...

no reason why they couldnt do what blackpool did for many years and put a temp stand for all the away fans and then look to improve facilities for the home fans

  2. The Latics PlayerShare has gone from strength to strength over the last 2 weeks.

So far we have had 30 NEW supporters who have set up Standing Orders with their Banks to pay into the scheme.

Late last week, Life long fan Mr Jack Gordon spoke to Trust Oldham after reading the Open letter to the fans and then hearing about the Latics PlayerShare scheme.

Mr Gordon wanted to help, he asked how it was possible to make a contribution to the scheme and wanted to know more about how it would work.

On speaking to Mr Gordon and understanding his passion for Oldham Athletic, Barry Owen invited him to the club today, Thursday 5th Aug to Present his donation to the Management Team of a cheque for £1000

Full Deatils of The PlayerShare Scheme Leaflet. download the brochure at the bottom of the page.

The Latics PlayerShare fund is now over £5,000

Leaflets and emails about the Scheme are now available on the Trust Website - www.trustoldham.co.uk. Leaflets will also be handed out at the first home game and within the first Match Programme of the New Season.

how many people have signed up to this scheme?

  3. chickers do you want me to bitch slap you????...on second thoughts best not as you still have my tresspass fleece.

One day your passion for latics I'm sure will totally knock me off my feet....

I'll shake you warmly by an appendage tomoz. You in the Rifle beforehand for Mike's Birthday?

sorry all this love in about how bad the players have it is a bit sickening, they are getting paid well doing a job which involves a bit of crowd berating should they put in a :censored: performance, and adulation should they score a winning goal...they need to take the rough with the smooth, grow a set and start to feel as though they have earnt there salary once a month, not crying to papers that "i dont think i can perform as mr smith might boo at me!" set of overpaid pansy :censored: the lot of them.

ill be in the rifle tomorrow, and im sure i will still be in there working my way thru the jd and the jim beam whilst everyone else goes to massage the egos of people who frankly dont give a :censored: for the club and more worryingly themselves!!

  4. Not behind at all if I'm honest. I don't see why there should be any encouragement. They are overpaid alledgedly professional sportsmen, if they need people to shout nice things to them they should be in panto. Yes I'd encourage them, if they gave two :censored:s but they don't. Sometimes people need to step back and have a look at the reality, I have and it is doom and gloom. Sorry Corp, you were right.

    bang on there!!

  5. A City supporting work mate was on bluemoon forums this dinner; and has just set me this taken from a new post on t'forum - his email to me was entitled:

"and your lot want to move near us; you're going to lose - BIG TIME!!!!"

    have a read of this:

All I can say is I have been buzzing since this was told to me yesterday evening - from a VERY strong City contact.

As far as they have been made aware, Manchester City for world domination may not be so far from the truth!

A stadium in excess of 65,000 seats...and here's the kicker....

The vision is to give football back to the working class people of Manchester.

By that, I am told we are wanted to be shown as an example to the rest of the Premier League and the footballing world.

The cheapest tickets by a very long way, subsidised heavily by the grander plans for development.

We have been looking in particular at the German model of pricing for games, also with regards combining match tickets with modes of transport, Metrolink and busses.

Season-tickets that could be as little as £200 quid a pop, match tickets for a tenner, OAPS, Kids, every facet of this is being looked at.

Thousands of extra seats to schools and low income parents of Manchester and the surrounding areas, to encourage a new generation of support, combined with the ramping up of the current City in the Community and Live for City initiatives.

A drive to ensure Manchester City are the club every youngster in the area will dream of wishing to join.

The club have had people doing forecasts and costings on our support and what we will be able to attract.

I am told they are mightily impressed with some of the projections, and crowds akin to that lot across the road can and will be matched.

Our owners see the role of the British government in this as vital.

That clown Brown was pretty much blown away by what was outlined.

As for our stadium, it will cease to exist as we know it. An icon every bit as identifiable as the Bernabeu and Camp Nou, using the latest techniques.

A vision document has pretty much been completed in the last couple months, as a result of the 14 month fact finding tour made by us.

I don't have anything more to add, only that I was proud to hear the way our owner Sheik Mansour and Khaldoon want this club to be preceived in the generations to come.

A club with a winning mentality, but one that respects the culture of the game, its fans, and the history of our great club.

They want to give the entire City of Manchester a sense of pride in the club, and leave a lasting legacy.

Oh, and those people who laughed at Garry Cook's outspoken comments back in January in New York.

I admit I cringed at the time, but I have been left in no doubt whatsoever that Cook and us will be the ones to have the last laugh.

Take this seriously, the supposed plans floating out there at present, they don't even scratch the surface.

Personally, I am in a rush to get there, tomorrow. But if I have to wait a little while longer, that's cool by me, they know they we will succeed.

    That is all.

    -----------------------------------------------------

    cant wait!!

  6. What queue will that be. There will be no queue. Particularly not during the week when the majority of people (bar us with jobs in education) are at work.

I'll guarentee there wont be more than two people infront of me when I get down there. There never is, unless it's for a cup/playoff game.

    There is no rush.

we are a massive club though luke, there be tens of thousands of people buying tickets next week! i might go tomorrow just to make sure that i can get one, dont want to miss out!!!

  7. Hey guys,

Was just wandering how many people are going over to Heaton Park this summer to any of the Oasis gigs. If so, have you recieved or heard anything about ticket despatch?

ticketmaster sent them out yesterday, seetickets are showing week commencing 18th may, but both say they can come up to 3 days before the event

  8. SPREAD THE COST OF YOUR TICKET

Are you a Latics fan who wants to pay for their 2009/10 season ticket via easy and convenient instalments?

If so, then why not sign up under the Easy Payment plan provided by club partners Zebra Finance?

Supporters aged 18 and over can pay for their season tickets over 10 monthly instalments (APR 19.9%), making purchasing your ticket quick and easy.

For example, a fan buying an adult season ticket in the Leesfield Developments Stand (£308), would pay a monthly repayment of only £33.44 for 10 months (total repayment £334.40).

Official Site gives more details on this great offer

Download your Application form here ............

20% is a bit steep isnt it!!
