Just a side note for the guy with the Rubic cube .. I was watching them try to fit it in the back of the car and give up. You'll be glad to know that it didn't remain on top of the phone box for too long, having been quickly "rescued" by another Oldham fan...

the guy in the cube was after taking the door off my golf to get a bit of "multi coloured cardboard" back to manchester

i know he put it on top of the phone box just as the TAU was driving past, then there was a few lads picking it up as we passed it, glad its found a good home

I lost all interest in boxing some time ago but always watch Hatton as I took an interest from day one (with him being cousins with one of my best mates). That interest ended up going a long way!! In a way though it used to be more fun at the likes of Oldham Sports Centre and even the Velodrome than it is now (with the bandwagon that follows him today).

 

Anyway, despite being a long, long time Ricky fan, Manny will beat him on points. And that's a credit to the Hitman....I'm no expert but I remember the first time I saw Pacman I was in awe and that has stook with me. He's intense.

Maybe, but he's not seen Fleming play either has he? Norm's not got the legs for a full season, and so we need another keeper who can play first team football. So it doesn't really change what we need if Norm can step in and play 10-15 games does it?

no mate, they have a fully functional police station built within the ground, as this is a requirement of european football, so they put it in to make sure they are capable of hosting such games...was quite strange seeing one of them within spitting distance of the pitch.

The police cells were quite impressive as well

Cheers Bob. Ive got to say though, im really NOT looking forward to it. If i could have said no then i would have done but how do you say no to such a good cause. Everytime ive done the run ive been a wreck for weeks after and had all sorts of injury problems (nothing to do with old age setting in). I just hope that i start getting some sponsorship, i would hate to go through that sort of pain again and not raise a decent amount.

 

Just to put the thing into perspective.....Go on a jog for 10k (just over 6 miles) but do it in a hot room with a cardboard box over your head so you cant breath and just to add insult to injury carry a rucksack weighing roughly 3 and a half stone. No wonder my thighs feel like bricks for days after.

 

It will be worth it though.

i will be doing that anyway wayne, but just with my own winter survival kit!!

Its that time of year again when i need to start getting sponsored by people to do the Manchester 10k run. I said after last year that i deffinately wasnt doing it again as i didnt think my body would take it, but hey ho, ive been asked my Keith Jones (Latics steward) if i will run for his charity which is the Samantha Jones Trust which was set up in memory of his daughter Samantha who dies in 2002 from leukimia. I just couldnt refuse to run for such a great cause so im back in training now to try and beat my best time of 1 hour 11 minutes. I want to raise £1000 which i think is going to be a struggle as everyone is skint at the minute but its worth a try.

I managed to get in yesterday AND today. The production manager couldnt get in yesterday due to the snow in the morning. I guess it was a miracle then that after the snow falling all day on top of the stuff in the morning i still managed to drive to Delph which is 2 miles past her house AND drive back home again at 5pm. And what thanks did i get for it?.......Bleeding none.

i sure did, but i managed to turn in, been on a "snow day" myself today!! its brilliant!!

just hope there is more snow tonight so i can stay at home watching top gear on dave for the 15th time!!

Well City get rid of a multi million pound striker..... sign no one ...... Plenty of clubs have had a in active day .. all this cost us promotion malarky .. all the doom and gloom .. all the hype surrounding Hughes and Taylor .. who incidentally are both still Latics players ... All the Kilkenny rumours .... all done and dusted and we are still within a stones throw of promotion 3pts from 3rd place lost just 6 home and away . I dont have rose coloured glassed ... BUT I dont see reason to challenge the clubs structure without any confirmed fact that there is unrest. !!! i love being a tics fan

That Kilkenny was in the RRE today and that Chickers had told Jacko KK said he was signing this Monday. That's just polished the ******* day for me!
