  1. I prefereed the old owl! haha

In all seriousness mate, i know how much you enjoy doing it, be good for you to take a week or so off (good chance this weekend as we are in Landaon!) give yourself time to let some of the other issues you have playing on your mind take there course, and then see where you are when the dust has settled.

Times like this can be hard mate, but you have a wide community who adore you and are the only reason they come to latics, the suit is just a bit of plastic and foam, but the soul inside it is what makes the person, as we found when Chadwell did a stint at it!

    Keep smiling mate :)

  2. Shut it you before i slap you. You usually dont see anything at th ematch anyway as your usually very drunk and slavering over some poor unsuspecting young girl (Above legal age may i add)

I was on the pitch playing football with Shez junior before the game. ^_^

I was in the clayton green for most of the game as it was anyway!!

  3. unfeckinbelievable!!!

a question for all you outers...

in you're opinion, who should we get as manager then???

    (now this SHOULD get funny!)

Jose Mourinho (the Special One) is looking for work, and since we will be playing in the same colours as chelski next season perhaps we could fool him into coming?

    HAHAHA!!

  4. Im afraid i have to disagree about Dave Roberts.

I damaged my ankle ligaments about 18 months ago playing football. I went to see a physio at David Roberts. He basically took over £150 off me over a month or two to sit on a bench and have some heat treatment on it. When i was told it was now ok i tried playing on it and it went almost straight away. I was really annoyed as i was struggling to "do the chaddy thing" with such pain. I spoke to Alan Hardy and he told me to go and see Anthony Greenhouse (Reserve's physio). He explained everything to me on how it was damaged, he gave me physio, told me exactly what i should be doing whilst not at physio, and within 3 weeks my ankle was as right as rain, and ive not had one single problem with it since.

Not only that, i went to David Roberts about a groin problem. I was told it was a double hernia and i should get in to see my doctor straight away to get it repaired. I went for a second opinion, only to be told it was a groin strain. Within 2 weeks it was back to normal.

Needless to say i wont go to them anymore.

*Although i have to admit that David himself and one of the guys from the Middleton office are very good, but i cant see them coming to us with the amount of money they can be making from a personal practice.

Same experience with David Roberts, basically paid a stupid amount of money to read the latest edition of FHM, whilst some heat went onto my knee.

Went to latics 18 months later, spent 70 on two visits and was sorted.

  5. I agree and actually dont have a problem with this, but wouldnt it be nice if we could pinch that last promotion spot by the back door and then have this money to spend on players for the championship, even attract players we wouldn't get in this division. Ergo, we really need those loan signings NOW!

And if i'm brutally honest i wouldnt have a place for a big slow carthorse with the speed and turning circle of a steamroller if he does get fit before the final push. Sorry Greegs, nice bloke and all that but i think his day has been and gone now.

    KTF.

If we sign any loan players now they wouldnt be available for the play off final should we get there, aint it in our interests if the play offs are our goal to have the fullest squad possible at the business end of the season, as opposed to being able to face swindon etc etc

  6. How do you know we were even trying to attract them?

Some people really are thick! Just coz someone on a message board rates them and they can perform well in the stiffs and league 2 doesn't mean we have tried to get them. Plenty of gash players look good against kids and at league 2 level but doesn't mean we are trying to sign them all!

I sure hope that we are trying to attract players with the qualities the player in question carries (fast, ability to cross, can score goals) otherwise whats the point of the scouting network?

  7. Does anyone remember WBA left winger Sherjil McDonald taking Latics reserves apart a few months ago - right under the nose of John Sheridan and Tommy Wright.

It was said then by many on this board here was a player Latics must sign on loan.

    So what happens ?...read on.

He goes to Hereford on loan last week and scores 2 goals on his debut, then at Rochdale tonight he scores a hat trick - making it 5 in 2 games.

This at a time when Latics were supposedly hunting for a genuine left winger and also a goal scorer...unbelievable.

i remember the game Roman Bednar stood out as well, strange how we cant attract these types of players but hereford can!

  8. Can the club not help us out with this, considering all that the posters on this board have done for the club over the last year (in particular regarding the planning meetings and marching, etc) and are continuing to do?

Surely what is a lot of money to Rummy would be a drop in the ocean for the club, and would ensure the board can carry on?

but they cant do that as they already have the board set up with PTV, even though no one uses it
