Its a genuine chance for progression this year, its not just about this game its about the whole cup run. At a time when the club at struggling win this and u get further money for the win, then 50% the gate at the next game and so on, then there is the feel good factor cup runs bring to a club

Personally i would rather progress than see the club lose a game away to Hull or somewhere stupid and make a few quid

The teams we can actually play are limited hence why u quite often end up with a local derby on key dates, see the above link, i would personally like Huddersfailed at home opening day or a trip to somewhere in the August sun like Exeter (and because its close to me)

Opening games bring big crowds where we all miss the football so a big side at home with a big gate would help

I think a lot will depend on who signs deals out of those who have been offered them

I wouldn't mind Shane Higgs perhaps as the keeper, Jeff Hughes would be a great signing as well, i think we will go down the youngster route though due to wage restrictions and i would expect 5/6 players and no more than that at most, its key not to upset the balance of the side and build a strong nucleus and get the right personality not just the right player, adding a few winners would be a start people who have been there and done it on this league and know what it takes to get out of it, consolidate in it
