PS This is the best thread ever

i agree, this is the greatest thread of all time!

Yes, i have heard that Sheridans_World was particularly distressed after the last meeting.... well he should have had his hair cut...

I have also made moves to start a new group for when i am at home...

    Internal

    Network of

    Blue

    Radicals

    Encompassing

Delph and the wider area of

    Saddleworth

Current members are me, my mum and my mums brother (my dad)

As a Grotton resident would i qualify for INBREDS membership through being part of the wider area of Saddleworth? Or would i have to become a

    Grotton Athletic Yob?

  2. Why was my original post a shocker?

We really are looking Mickey Mouse.

We have just got £500k for a player we got for nowt and yet we are still looking at loan signings or permanent signings of the ilk of Ian Moore.

Glenn Murray went from Rochdale to Brighton,Anthony Elding as gone from Stockport to Leeds,Colin Nish went from Kilmarnock to Hibs and last time I heard Andy Bishop was still at Bury.

These are the type of players we should be after if we want to progress.

we can't just go out and splash the trotters cash, im pretty sure the club's still losing money, so its way more sensible to put probably the majority of the cash to running the club. cos we cant even think about signing players if we havent got a club!

  3. That's a good call. I thought he was the most under-rated of the loanees when we had him with KK and Croft (average age of the midfield = 25), he had fantastic defensive positioning and could put in a very good reducer. He seemed to fade badly when we signed him amidst talk of his McCat diet and general health and fitness concerns.

erm... McCat? am i missing something here?

  4. i would go if i could but due to being skint and at uni in huddersfield im going watching t'uddersfield vs monkey hangers for a fiver :P call it a scouting mission... lol!

  5. Tommy, WTF you doing watching the Jocks? Absolutely gutted they won...TWICE this weekend/midweek. All of a sudden they think they're World Class, simply because they have beaten a vastly over rated French side.

As for whoever suggested the 'EASY, EASY' chant. The fact this was sung when (a) we pulled a goal back to equalise or (B) went 1 goal in front made the song sound stupid & 100% irrelevant. The chant should only have ever been used if a team was being battered (EG NYD when we beat Forest 5-0). However, I personally prefer the more offensive version of "THIS IS SO F***ING EASY, OH THIS IS SO F***ING EASY!" or "YOUR SO S**T ITS UNBELIEVABLE" or "ARE YOU CITY, ARE YOU CITY, ARE YOU CITY IN DISGUISE? ARE YOU CITY IN DISGUISE?"

Glad the Easy chant has died off this year and hope it never returns.

here here, the easy chant is :sign0003:

  6. i prefferred last seasons chant when we scored of soccer am's EASY EASY! screw the music! yank games do that and were a better class of sport than baseball or yank football

that easy chant is awful, just sounds crap and girly :S it wouldnt be half as bad if people did it properly but they do it really quick and this results in looking like sea lions... i prefer music to that lol

  7. Not that I like the idea of a goal song but...if we have to have one then the WOOHOO bit of this song whatever it is would be v good.

    blu

Its Song 2 by Blur, quite a few clubs use it. It is good, but not unique unfortunately

  8. This might be a bit difficult for people to remember.

    What about.......

    Hughes-ee....Hughes-ee....Hughes-ee

    or

Hughes-ee, there's only one Hughes-ee (repeat until bored).

    :)

Sounds a bit too much like what the munichs sang for another, more unpopular, Hughes...

  9. This is an absolute classic :D:D:D:D:D , i'm with you Blue Guru, The Specials bring back soooooo many top memories. It's simple and catchy.

Someone get in touch with Franny at the club and make sure Tics make this THEIR goal celebration song before some other team nicks it.

i was gonna suggest contacting the club, but maybe have a vote on here first to determine the favourite?

  10. I like Boys in Blue.

I think we should blast this out just before kick off each game as the players have come out and are waiting for Kick off, for all to sing along too, just like Wolves do (HiHo) West Ham (Bubbles) Chelsea(Blueisthecolour) Leeds etc

Id go for Guns Of Navarone to be played after a goal, but i definately agree we should play Boys In Blue just before K.O. and have a good sing-a-long, it only seems to get played when were trooping out after the match at the moment

  11. My grandad always used to tell me a tale about Bobby Johnstone where he would repeatedly say modern footballers wouldnt have the sense or quick thinking to do what he did. Johnstone was out on the touchline being jostled for the ball by 3 defenders, it looked like he would lose the ball, allowing the other team to attack. But back in those days the stand was of course a lot closer to the pitch than today, so Johnstone, thinking quickly, just knocked the ball against the boarding at the bottom of the stand, it bounced back, nutmegged the defender and Johnstone turned and launched an attack in which Latics scored!
