  1. "Daddy, why do all those men hate us?" - "Unfortunately son, you were born a Jew in 1930's Berlin. I know you don't understand, but some people need to hate someone".

"Daddy, why do all those men hate us?" - "Unfortunately son, you were born in Milton Keynes and MK Dons are your local club. I know you don't understand, but some people need to hate someone".

The FA and Winkleman should be the targets of vitriol for their disgraceful disregard of tradition - not the town or supporters who just want to see league football. The way the FA and FL are running things we are lucky to still have football teams.

Will our pack animals turn on another innocent bunch of fans who are helping increase our income, like they did against Morecambe?

Just the 3 points for me on Saturday - the politics of it are history.

spot on about the fans, its not their fault. its winkleman and the fa.

  2. the funny thing is, i dont have a problem with the fans... just imagine, its 1895, u live in oldham and a football club springs up in your area. if you like the game you'll go and have a nosey, and a support will be cultivated. Fair play to them, i couldnt imagine going all them years without a local club.

The real villain in the piece is pete winkleman, he ripped the soul out of a football club, so the abuse should be in his direction :violent111::stretcher: *

*i do not condone violence towards football club chairman....**

**MK Dons are not a real football club

  3. find it hard to beleive theyd be getting out of their tree, surely a pint or 2 is ok...?

Anyway last night was good then? I saw them at the academy in may and they was awesome, the place was jumping! One of my fave bands atm.

The Whip are also pretty damn good, got my tickets booked to see them at the academy in november (the same week as paul weller  ) any tics goin to that gig? :headbang:

  4. Thing that gets me is why does one have to sign up to merely read the board? You don't with oafc.co.uk you didn't with JKL. I fully appreciated the need to register to actually interact on here, but why isn't the main "official" Latics forum, sanctioned by the club open to the wider world? Surely the views of the main Latics mb aren't so secret they have to be hidden away. Its often interesting to go and read the views of teams we have or are about to play yet unless I'm mistaken OWTB precludes this.

I know a few people who would never in a million years want or need to post owt on any MB but were always browsers and lurkers on JKL, not every Latics fan wants to interact, but I bet there are many who'd "graze" if the opportunity were there.

All that said maybe its just me, maybe you can view without logging in, maybe I'm doing something wrong?

im one of these people who mainly just 'graze' (i'm watching you :wink: ) and i wouldnt say that having to register is really such a ball-ache, i mean it takes max. 5minutes out of your life. im sure anyone with time to mooch around on a latics forum has time to register, so i cant see how it would put anyone off really, unless theyre just incredibly lazy!

  5. Yeah, I was quite impressed to be honest. Although, the one where he had the ball and fooled their lad as to where he was going with it, did leave my heart in my mouth. Overall though, he was alright but as Hazell was MOTM IMO (and after I said so to my mates, he inexplicably nodded it out for a Morecambe corner when under no pressure at all), neither he or Stam needed to do so much. Sadly, after rating Eards between £12m and £20m now he's a fully fledged full-back, passing midfielder and no nonsense defender...he quickly resumed back to his more natural £500,000 tag with his penalty miss :grin:

am i the only one that thought the keeper made an absolutely stunning save to deny eardley?! i couldn't beleive he'd got to it AND kept it out!

  6. i couldn't say im happy or unhappy about last night, obviously gutted to lose as usual, but the performance was very good, particularly in the first half when we shud have gone 4-0 up! it was a combination of bad luck, below average finishing and a MOTM display from their keeper that meant we went in 0-0. My positive for the night would be whitakers performance. From what ive seen so far this season he could be our key player, he was our main creative influence, especially after hughes went off and i can see him popping up with a few crucial goals this season.

Overall i'm still positive for the league campaign, last night didnt change much at all. Lets just hope the injuries picked up by hughes, and which kept taylor out, aren't serious!

  7. I agree that our kit is indisguishalbe form many other teams.

I do like the 40/50's and th eone above as being distintive.

    Alternatively.

I've suggested before the Pine Villa c 1897 but in blue.

A bit like this but narrower bands, but do you think it looks like any other teams?

    nike_football_shirt_hoops.jpg

It is A Nike shirt, but ours would be smaller bands, then tangerine hoops for away!

    err, QPR?

  8. We might even be top of the league

thats the great thing about a good start to the season, in the team talk on saturday shez can point out to the players 'remember lads, a win here today puts us/keeps us top of the league!'. When you can say that it gives the players that extra incentive to win, it gives them something to look at, unlike when we start badly and the top seems way off, even if its just 6 points or so...

...i may be stating the obvious but hey, we're all in a good mood so who cares

  9. du du du sadly seemingly brought about by the pre-match drunken antics of the oasis boys and girls at Brighton, unless someone had heard it before ... maybe I have , maybe I really did fry my brain on the free bar that day.

  10. To be honest i thought the guy was drunk and didnt realise he'd been attacked, and for them :censored:ing animals to start chanting cheerio and waving to him as he was being led away by the paramedics dirty Leeds bastards. I hope all is well and im sure somebody will post on here when he pulls through.

wow i didnt realise that had happened, though i saw the fuss. it was clear he was in a bad way though, so i couldnt beleive it when they started singing to him. animals.

  11. He jinks to the left,

    He jinks to the r-i-i-i-i-ght,

    Oh Chris Taylor,

    Made Leeds look :censored:e.

We've sang it few years back and used 'Blackpool' as the team, but I've not heard it for a while...
