  1. i think you're referring mainly to OWTB members there.

to be fair he's had a 2 and a bit season honeymoon period from most supporters.

last night was the first time i've started to question whether he's the right man for the job and I'm still way off "demanding his head" and I think that would apply to the majority of OAFC supporters.

same goes for me, and to an extent my dad and uncle who i go with. i would imagine that viewpoint speaks for the majority just about

  2. After almost three years of Shez, we have good individual players but are no nearer producing a TEAM. We never play the same line-up two matches running. Loanees are preferred to good players. No wonder it is a shambles. Shez is a good spotter of talent but an inadequate manager. Yes, he’s gonna go.

i agree, hes a good coach but he's showing more and more flaws as a manager

  3. It's the playoff final, at Wembley, Tranmere are 2-1 up despite being down to 9 men for 50 minutes of the game.

Header after header from Windass fails to go in, Lee Hughes pulls one back after a nice link up with Dean Windass on the 70th minute.

2 minutes added on after the 90, all seems lost when Tranmere have possession in the Latics half. Sean Gregan wins the ball and hoofs it up field, Dean Smalley gives chase, nearly beating the defender to the ball he forced a corner from the defender's clearance. The last chance, Chris Taylor steps up to take the corner when the Latics goalkeeper Greg Fleming gets the nod to run up, the box crowded Chris Taylor let's the corner fly in, and.....

thats quality pucka! keepers never get near the ball when i have em up for corners...

if anyone fancies a game on xbox live my gamertag is bradman99......

  4. i wouldn't say complaining about ticket prices is treating latics as a product, its like people will always complain their wives/girlfriends cost them more than enough money.

we have reason enough to complain about ticket prices as they are a product, regardless of how you view latics. after all you dont have to buy tickets to be a latics fan and still treat them as 'more than a product'

  5. But despite common opinions on here Danny Jones is a left-back.

I don't think TTA amigos would sell Tayls for £1M. It's probably a fair valuation that but we need him, I suspect he would want to stay for now and he isn't likely to decrease in value anytime soon. For these reasons his price ought to be well over the odds.

surely a player can be a left midfielder if he is played there and does well? players dont arrive at clubs with 'left back' stamped on their foreheads. it was said whilst he was at the club that he got too far forward and left the defence exposed, also that he put in a great ball and could take on a man reasonably well yet wasnt the best at tackling, surely the reason for this is most likely that he isnt truly a left back, rather someone who is being played at left back due to a lack of opportunities on the wing.

I would take a little under 1million plus sell-ons if we got jones into the bargain as well, in fact id bite the fellas hand off, because if we're going to have to sell then id rather sell to someone who can give us a ready made replacement straight away.

  6. It's a bit vague but nobody else has come up with the detailed answer:

The contestant with the huge artificial tits is the girfriend/partner/fiance/wife of Tommy Williams who plays for the Posh.

No doubt we will refer to her in the chants on Saturday

Just got back from watching ten men part-time Burton Albion beat Cambridge United to clock up another three points at the top of the Conference.

Learned a new chant for Saturday:

Small town in Ipswich, you're just a small town in Ipswich!

A cold night but fortified direct from Burton's hot springs...........

haha and hughes is getting stick for 2 bookings on the other thread, at least he lasted longer than 36minutes!!!

its a shame in my eyes that o'grady didnt manage to bang a few in while at bury, either way though i'd imagine its done him good

  8. Oh yea cheers for that, if forgot. Just noticed at tranmere they had the young persons ticket for 22s and under and most places have student discounts.

Im a student but my dad pays for me so i got a season ticket in RRE as i live near Burnley and saves the hassle of buying a ticket each week.

If he didnt pay for me i wouldnt be able to afford to come very often.

yeah, my dad pays for me too, its the only way for student bums :D

otherwise i'd be sat here every saturday afternoon

oh and my imrpovement is beer in the stands, in the exact same ground u cud sup a pint at a RL game but not at a football game, wheres the sense in that?

  9. Student discounts

    Standing only area

They do student discounts on match tickets, you just need to get a student membership card for 13quid and buy your match tickets in advance. Thats what i'm doing this year, as it works out cheaper buying individual discounted tickets than buying an adult RRE season ticket.

  10. What most annoys me are two things:

    1. Defenders bringing down or holding attackers in the box and always getting away with it

    2. Linesmen and Refs NEVER giving advantage to the attacking team on offline decisions, and not actaully using the "clear ground" official rule to ffside.

Without these two breaches of the official rules which go on in every game there would be more goals, and that would make footy more exciting.

if you mean the thing about daylight being between attacker & last defender then i'm 99% sure that doesn't apply any more, it was a very brief rule. however i dont have my rule book at work with me so maybe someone who has one at hand/has a better memory than me could confirm or deny my thoughts...?

whilst we're on the offside rule, it really does my head in! lets just have the old fashioned rule where if you're offside, then your offside, none of this being 'active' rubbish. In the words of the great brian clough (i think) 'if you're not interfering with play, what are you doing on the pitch?'
