Not a Kilcline fan ! - Imho, Joe's second biggest clanger, after selling Marshie and Redfearn for peanuts.
Latics fan since 1950....the good old days, and still people moan, think it must be something in the air over Owdham.

  1. Not a problem tangerine......I'll leave all the bollocks to you in future. Cheers.
  2. Thanks but no thanks Underdog....It was intended as a starting offer idea to help to raise more funds for ...whatever. It was there for you to consider along with the rest of your colleagues, quite clearly taken by some as offensive, others as "set in stone" and sadly taken totally out of context by another.... Imho far too many have taken liberties with the OWTB site, do and say whatever they want without any encouragement to at least try and see matters from alternative viewpoints and sort of contain the obscene language.....hence the suggestion of a deduction for negativity. But there you go, some quite clearly think that to try and be positive at the price of 1p is clearly asking too much. I have a large number (8) very large Scrapbooks containing masses of pictures, press reports, cuttings, facts and figures etc. etc. from the "Pinch Me" seasons, together with a couple of Boxed and Mint Commerative Glass Tankards from the same periods. I intended to offer them to the Club as both Jenny and Richard A... are aware, perhaps for display in the new stand (their suggestion) which will go up despite the sarcasm and nonsense spouted about it, I had also decided it may be best to split them between OWTB and the club to raise whatever monies to help. If you wish me to continue posting along the same lines as I have and take the ":censored:"....not a problem to me personally, but I find it offensive for the other reasons I have already stated and feel very strongly that by not discouraging these activities.... we're all wasting our time and your efforts. Therefore the idea is there if you wish to modify it, use it if you like....it was intended that it could be expanded so that other genuine fans could do the same, when it is analysed you will find it should produce more than the £10 p.m. Direct Debits system produces. Thanks for your time. Regards
  3. Went to school and learned how to read, spent rest of my life involved in Sport/Football and Management in Leisure Industry.... Sadly doesn't take much to spot them Zorro....having been Latics supporter since 1950 - however that was the offer subject to review and adjustment, in other words I was prepared to increase the amount per posting, and lived in hope that some of these people who continually deride and abuse people who are involved with OAFC in any position, would perhaps see the sense in posting something positive rather than the crap that some of them do.... therefore benefit Playershare....However it appears not to be shame.
  4. Absolutely not Zorro.....and it's not insinuation...it was suggestion in the desperate hope that some fans...? would perhaps see things in a different light than they do at present. Sadly after so many years,,, decades if you like, Oldhamers, Rugby and Latics fans have ...imho ...developed this serious negativity towards sport in the Town... For your information...as you have access to my details.... and feel free to access them, I and my family left B.P. over 6 years ago, not because we don't live in Oldham anymore, but because of a serious matter we exposed to the Executive of OAFC....
  5. Ok was there to bounce it off you....if you think its sh*t....no problems I'll bin it, shame as I'd just counted up how many posts we had last month....! Oh and it has absolutely nothing to do with anyone connected to B.P..... looks like I'll haveto join the negatives or that other blog site with some "well known" expert moaners now..... shame. Oh ....it doesn't matter just had an idea about where to stick yer tongue...
  6. Here's one for you Wardle..... I'll donate 00.01p for every printed post or reply on OWTB for the rest of this month, with option to continue for further months of this season ! BUT and it is a ...BIG BUT.......I will deduct a sum of £10.00 for every Red Card post which openly attacks, Lee Johnson, Simon Corney or any player or member of staff at Boundary Park.... during the same and each period..... REFERENCE TO ANYONE BEING ":censored:"...ETC OR THE USE OF THE WORD "FU*K" IN ANY DERIVATIVE FORM when commenting about matches when personally aimed or directed at players count as Red Card postings. I'll now await comments advising me to Fu*K Off or similar.... But leave it to yourself and admin colleagues to work out what this is worth to you and playershare.
  7. It's a joke Harry...called.... erm tongue in cheek....you look nowt like JYM...
  8. Amazingly looks like Jean-Yves M'Voto....with similar build, plus ability and skill, with all due respect to JYM....who was and remains a nice guy now playing for some sheep farmers club in erm.......memory is going fast !...need a song to help here...Oh yes that will do it !...summat about some Moors baht Hat.
  9. The 'Howevers' content being the kind of postings I like, only spoiled by the innuendoes in the first part of the post. This Manager has shown more life, more genuine desire, better ideas, more openness and honesty, more knowledge and certainly a great database on footballers, he's clearly building a solid team , some of whom may stay, others may not, Imho....he's generally got more in him than the previous 3 Managers before him. Why some Latics fans have developed this strange want to whinge, moan and undermine, Managers, players, the Owner of the club absolutely baffles me and does nothing to encourage the lost fans back to B.P.
  10. And quite obviously many contributions by ***********insert whatever matches your opinion in there, Are the variety and extremes of views and opinions expressed, I guess by people who think they're fans. Some offensive, some by clearly deranged, some by frustrated pub team 'superstars'...usually overweight and basically incapable, some with cracked crystal balls, some perhaps from other planets, many from posters who've never kicked a football in their lives, plenty from potential Managers (of Dogs Home..!) Quite a lot from clueless, sadly others who launch personal attacks on players, and many from some that are so stupid I'm amazed they get printed. On the other foot.....use of football jargon there, we have a majority who love to simply support their club often donating money for the cause as in playershare and the simple idea started by Danny, which has grown into something really worthwhile that actually helps the club we all claim to be supporters of.
  11. Really some of the critics should take a long hard look at reality. Jose Who....? gone as others, yes some heroes, others maybe not, as is the present line with some at B.P. to make them scapegoats, which baffles me as a football fan, ex-player, coach etc....why should anyone want to "boo" a player in any sport for making a mistake. Think what the Spurs fans must be feeeling with the Gareth Bale saga....and he really is a world class talent, lost from their club. There are dozens more in the same situation...it's modern day football, players come and go as they please and there is sod all we can do about it to be honest as contracts appear worthless. If there was a "sell on" clause in J.B's contract so be it, I'll personally believe that LJ and SC did all they could to talk JB into giving a move serious thought, then even, though I believe they could have made him honour his terms if the clause was not met...LJ would not allow a player who clearly then would be unhappy to be part of OAFC...so Jose has departed, thank goodness he wasn't in the same class as Bale. Also I think Latics fans should consider themselves lucky to have a Chairman who has, despite the many obnoxious comments made about him, here and on other message boards.! basically kept the club alive and I honestly believe in really good shape, and whilst I'd love to challenge the SC critics to prove some of the total nonsense they contribute, I can't be bothered getting into pointless discussion with fables or guesses as evidence. Midsblue, I believe you make a great deal of valid points and fair comments, I knew of you from the past, but we'll leave that as irrelevant. Latics fans who make claims about money being filtered or even filched over whatever pond, lake or river are in my mind....way off the mark, and in anycase, surely whatever funds put in to the club by the previous 2 Amigo's is rightfully a debt we as OAFC owe them, surely they have a right to be paid back something in whatever way as long as it's legal and I'm certain it is or will be. Take at look at Blackpool, having been promoted to the Premiership and won what is claimed as the biggest single game prize in football, supposedly over £90m plus, plus and more plusses, then the parachute payments when they got relegated....it is probably closer to a figure in excess of £140m...what happened to it...? Paul Ince can't squeeze much out of The Chairman's wallet.... and his Dad, the previous Chairman and still majoir owner of Blackpool F.C. was reported as having taken back £29m that he'd put into the club over many years. Blackpool survive but their fans are sickened by what goes on....... but they're like the majoroity of clubs, whereas Latics are stable and I believe not in debt other than the normal running costs of such an empire, which fans appear to forget the staff behind the scenes and there are dozens of them, they all have to be paid as do the Management and players, 4000 gates don't meet these costs by a mile. Latics fans are now in a great position to see something really positive happening at our club, surely the time for snide remarks and wild suggestions about club funds should stop and be forgotten now and the present Manager supported with his fully supportive and converted Latics fan Chairman...? In all my many years as a supporter of my club I can only recall good times like this....sadly it was when Ken Bates appeared on the scene ! KTF....and best wishes and regards Midsblue...
  12. Bill Naylor......ooops sorry wrong era, nearly wrong century !
