  1. Big time SC fan club this evening! Will the club make any money from season tickets? Giving them all away!
  2. Anthony states that there are a lot out there looking at the club and speaking to SC. But no offer is right, with some having a history which SC doesn't like. Lots see the club as potential
  3. Top post the mikeroyboy, the most sence ive read on this forum in years!
  4. Thinking about it, I wouldn't mind Darren Ferguson. Assistance from his dad, no doubt S** Alex will be watching most weeks with scholes ... Man Ure contacts? Its his dads empire after all. But what caught my eye is DF has an eye for lower league talent. Look at Aaron Maclean, Craig Mackail Smith, George Boyd to name a few from a wide list.
  5. Despite 6 key men being out (Elokobi, Mills, Mellis, Winchester, Forte and Wilkinson), that was rubbish. Slowly starting to worry as we slide down the league... Play Off hopes have gone! Here is hoping for top 10! ......................... and #man (Lee Johnson) got a 1-0 win at Gillingham and they go above us ...
  6. Great blog L & E. A great note about not leaving a legacy behind, one thing I thought LJ would do unlike other managers we've had since royle when he was appointed in march 2012
  7. and 11 years myself owdumer, I feel the same! Year after year the same questions: 'What if?' 'Can we really' 'Pawell Abbot's gunna bag 30' - its all part of the 'excitement package'
  8. Without excitement owdumer, you have to ask what the point in bothering week in week out year after year is..
  9. All gone slightly quiet regarding the commercial/corporate news of the new stand. Its all well and good building it but surely updates regarding the lay out (if any changes), boxes being sold etc. I just feel more could be done in regards to basically 'bigging the fooker up' I cant be the only one excited by the prospect of it surely..?
  10. I think that's a reasonable cause for an email. By LJ going, it completely defeats the principle of him a) signing a long term deal, not selling in January and C) having any aspiration for promotion. Say a new man comes in, it is not to late to come 16th,17th etc. Swindon firmly told Barnsley to look elsewhere, why the hell didn't we!
  11. I agree BP1960, the interview he seemed rather composed, excited and enthusiastic to be honest. All the best to him and I hope the fans come to support him and the lads against what is a huge game. Hopefully we can put a slight dint in Preston's promotion push whilst putting a spark into ours
  12. Now Lee Johnson has moved on, who is your man? One Name only. Lets see who the collective want. Uwe Rosler
  13. Holden now favourite at 1/3 and Paul Scholes shifted out to 8/1 (bet Victor)
  14. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/breaking-news-holden-placed-in-temporary-charge-2295132.aspx Dean holden places in temporary charge for the IMMEDIATE FUTURE
  15. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/breaking-news-johnson-departs-2295092.aspx All the best Lee in your future and thanks for your time here!
  16. Is it just me who is perhaps foreseeing a similar affair as to the Furman Saga.. el capitano jumps ship during the loan window as ours slowly sinks...?
  17. A chance to get into management at his ''boyhood'' club perhaps? I'd take him till the end of the season, he could teach our Midfielders a few things ;)
  18. Chron also reporting that Jacob Mellis has a tweaked hamstring injury, whilst Rhys Murphy has a swollen knee. Conor Wilkinson could be back and Mike Jones will be back too. Few quotes by LJ in there too
  19. Scholes would be good, but he would need a good assistant with him. One with influence and a figure about him. But would scholes do this? I've never had him down as a manager. He seems comfortable with ITV and he is a family man (as is Johnson). As for his coaching badges, does he have UEFA A?
