  1. We lost for one simple reason. JCH can't head a ball. He had 4 clear cut heading chances, one a cushion header to the goalie from 6 yards in the firt half and two where he failed to connect t ll and the worst an unmarked for post header when he managed to head the ball straight down into the ground. Instead, many seek to blame Kelly or anyone else. I've seen every game this season and whilst I miss Wez and Korey, I don't blame our 90 min every game captain for them not re-signing. He works very hard for the team and will truffle to pick out our strkrs who can't control pass, lose their defenders or even run the channels....never mind the woeful inability to head in decent crosses (as Pope did so easily for PV against us).

So, suggest the moaners stop targeting their own boo boys and smell the coffee as to where the main problem has been and still is!

Let's hope the loan signings sort this out.

If you had seen every game you wouldnt be on here defending Kelly be interesting to see statistics for misplaced passes but in most games ive seen he turns possession more than any central midfielder ive seen, I appreciate there is a player in there but I can honestly say we have yet to see it, JCH is what he is a kid whose confidence is shot a player who is being asked to do a job he isnt upto as for his chances they where hardly as clear cut as you make out but that depends how you want to view the game, what I will say is plenty of strikers manage to find the net when they leave us no doubt JCH will be another.

  2.

I disagree with that, I thought they were pretty nervous by the end. The fans seemed distinctly restless, and the players were resorting to hoofing it out as quickly as possible. If I were a Preston fan yesterday, I definitely wouldn't have felt confident that the game was won until the whistle actually blew.

Agree but then they arent as familiar with our forwards as we are. I never thought we would score yesterday really missing an Harkins tupe to give us a glimmer of hope.

  3. I dont think we will really know but looking at the start of last season we had Lanzoni, Baxter, Tarky, Rooney, Shmeltz, Montano, Macdonald, Smith, Wes and Grounds on the books all on I would say reasonable money for what we have brought in this season we must have a reduced budget my point is do you think this new stand is going to break us and are we trying to get through the season on the cheap ? If so the stand may be the thing what kills us, was looking at the teams who went down last season and other than Shrewsbury who have thrown good money around the rest are struggling at 15th 18th and 20th. Im hoping Corney isnt thinking he can get us through this season on the cheap, I like the manager but feel like his hands are tied, im not saying we should be paying big money for players but every man and his dog can see we are a bit light, for me Corney needs to step up and give the manager the backing he needs not £400 a week players like Willie Gros.

  4. I agree with all of this but in addition to age and other priorities, doesn't the more indifferent response to defeat and crap performances also come from it being thoroughly expected on the back on what the past few seasons have had to offer? Since Sheridan got the boot we've been poor and pretty dire to watch (but for the occasional moments of entertainment).

Its a fair point I go to the vast majority of games and away I quite enjoy the football/results we get the atmosphere is generally a lot more positive as well but since the start of last season we really havent been the best and dominant team at home in many games, nearly every team we play seems to know how to set up against us its almost criminal, if we get results and win our share 1-0 fine but we dont so the crowds will fall even diehards who have been going for years are questioning their outlay and who can blame them ?

  5. We have faced 9 shots on target at home this season 7 of which have resulted in goals, headers do count as shots on goal, statistics can be read any way you want my personal view is we havent gelled at the back yet and the keeper doesnt appear to be as commanding as he was at the back end of last season, it could be down to the loss of Lockwood the communication isnt that great but nearly everything seems to be hitting the back of the net at the moment.

  6. You are not allowed to stand in a seated stadium, what do you want the club to do?

This is a myth nobody has been prosecuted for standing and sitting was just a recommendation in fact the laws on all seater stadium only cover the top two divisions, many clubs (including our own) have joined a campaign to reintroduce safe standing areas, many sports including both codes of rugby allow standing in seated areas as well as consumption of alcohol in the stands so there isnt an issue with safety, many clubs have come to a compromise and allowed fans one area of a ground stand generally known as singing sections, hopefully something can be sorted out as there is no doubt the atmosphere helps the team and spurs them on.

  7. So we play against the team who have the largest budget in the division and pay their main striker £12k a week and this place explodes.....get a grip people! And those who think it's clever to boo after the 1st home game don't :censored:ing bother coming Tuesday night you're not required

12 grand a week where did you make that up then ? As for booin who are you to tell anyone what to do ? People pay their £22 they can boo who they want, so long as they are sat in a seat.

  8. Positives: Winchester looks a totally different player this season, Johnson needs to play him in the middle. Forte could be massive for us if we actually consistently get the ball to him.

Negatives: The pubeless posse giving the stewards grief for about 40 minutes went from tiresome to just :censored:ing tedious

Sit in the Main Stand top tier youd fit in up there no danger.
