Who will be the next Guinea pig I wonder?
Or are we all barking up the wrong tree?
-
It would be a bit harsh to ban a club that can't pay its bill from selling players!
Now you put it that way... I'm thick...
-
Well knowone has mentioned that we are out of it so I assume not.
Bolton are also under transfer embargo but can bring in loan players so even if we are under embargo we may still be able to bring loan players in.
Does that include selling players?
-
I apologise if I'm a bit behind here, are we still under the embargo?
-
Happy new year all. Keep on keeping on.

The embarrassing :censored: has spent part of that interview repeating his moan about not having Billy Sharp.
As for the post above quoting his Fleetwood mate, not sure how long balling it to nobody for most of the game made us the better team. Was two extremely poor sides and it was Dummigan completely :censored:ting out and letting his man get past that cost us that today. Feel sorry for Law. Ripley never shouted and he could've...nobody was coming in between but Law felt he had to deal with it and pokes it in.
It sums us up this game. Not a plan from minute 1 to 90. Law in midfield? A 3-5-2 that ended up causing McLaughlin to have to play LB half the time to help out Burgess. I swear Robbo has said in the past that Dummigan can't play as a right wing back yet he played him there all game. And Flynn who was our only bright attacking spark for very brief moments...he ends up getting subbed! Clueless. Green is just :censored:ing awful and should never ever play for us again! But if Robbo is here still on Monday, then he will.
Record for lowest goals scored in a season is 24 from 42 games. We are now on 12 from 23 games so that would mean 24 from 46 games. That is awful. He's heading not only for worst Latics manager but worst ever Football League manager with a record like that.
It's simple math...if we can't sign anyone then the only thing we can change is that clueless :censored: being our manager. Has to go!!!
Nothing but respect for my mate. Been watching football a lot longer than most of us so trust her judgement. We simply don't look like scoring. She was saying they weren't good and we were slightly better. Doesn't change the outcome does it?
-
Why is it us that tire at the end and not the opposition?
That's the crux of it. That's why we are bottom of the league I suppose.
-
My Fleetwood supporting friend said we were the better side for the whole game apart from the last 5 mins and we just looked too tired to defend.

The Flitcroft rumor comes from an old boy I know who I talk to down the pub. Not sure what connection to the club is but is good at getting transfers right, just hope he is wrong on this occasion.
-
Someone reckoning Flitcroft has been lined up to replace Robbo. I hope not.

I don't really think anything that has been decided since Judas Johnson left has the best interests of keeping this club as a league one club.North Stand and Brass Bank gate. Cut in budget, hesitant plans to bring in a manager with experience in an attempted a cut price deal to appease the fans, as we know, this didn't come off but made Corney look like he had tried but failed through no fault of his own putting the blame on Steve Evans. Before that, slowness to bring in Shez when he was getable before the Kelly/Dunn debacle. Recruiting the 'next available' choice manager with no experience but looked good on paper. Robbo was always going to struggle with what was left (four players contracted only). 'We take any player.com' transfer policy brought about by panic due to time scale caused by slow process of replacing Sheridan. Constant rumblings from within that we'd be more financially viable running in league 2. You're not telling me that the powers that be realise they can't sell the club but now can't afford to run it at this level either. In thier heads I reckon they would welcome relegation to make the club more manageable financially to run. I feel we are being deliberately pushed towards relegation. Of course I may be wrong and we recruit in January but again slowness of decision could mean too little too late . I try do hard to be positive about Latics but it's hard to when you're being slapped in the face by the very thing you're paying to help out.

Didn't go today deliberately for the first time in a long time and I have to say how liberating it felt not being tied down to a Saturday where I get little back apart from spending time with the lads of the family. I went shopping with the wife and had dinner in the pub without feel8ng an ounce of angst.I needed a break from BP. I will be back but I have seen it from the other side of the disillusioned fan and to be fair I can see why attendances are dropping.
-
Dale fans I know don't want to see him in the shirt again.

Was too angry to post yesterday. Watched the goals back. Two clear fouls for pulling/holding in the box. Disappointed that we bounced off their players. We have some big lads but they are too weak mentally and physically to compete against league 1 c loggers or sides that don't come to play a footballing game against us. Put us up against a technical side like Scunthorpe who try and pass it tippy tappy, we stand a chance. Sadly there are lots of clogged teams in this league and we just aren't up for playing those sides. Gerrard would be a very much needed additional defender. Would play him in a heart beat over Burgess. Reckford can't cross so don't give it him to cross. Flynn is used totally incorrectly. We all know Winchester can't hack playing two games in a week, so why doesn't Robinson. Clarke is still our biggest attacking threat and the only player besides Ripley who look arsed. I honestly don't know we're to start changing things and really, I don't think Robinson does.
-
Oh and the lino with the bald head looked like he'd never officiated before.
-
Why is it we can't put a meaningful ball into the box?
-
7 league goals..the manager and his coach look as clueless as the players.
I fear a hammering on Tuesday and we know what SC does when fans are on his back,he sacks managers, and despite all his talk of sticking with Robinson he may revert to form.
I'm not sure we will sack him. I hope we don't. He is of a caliber of football man we won't really get if he goes. The Steve Evans saga shows this. I think we are in for a rough ride unless we get a kick on before Christmas.
-
Garbage today. Flynn looked OK, Jaraldho Martin looked good. Fane is a :censored:ing liability, the rest pailed into the background. Not good enough to survive this division.
-
Nothing has changed from last week. Nothing has been learned. Our biggest goal threat was our central defender. Lapado, Edwin, Makay arent even at the races. No attacking intent. We are out of our depth across the park. Robbo has nothing to work with in attack and we can't do anything until January. Doesn't look good, does it?
-
V Shrews worst ref I've seen in along while. Absolutely no clue on how to use his linos.no comprehension of time wasting. Little idea of what a tackle is.
-
Not keen on the advantage concept or spraying his whipped cream at free kicks.
I thought he let the big decisions go and the insignificant ones not. If that game would have been 5 mins longer he would have lost the players discipline completely. Did both sides no favours.
-
Anyone beatable to set up a huge 3rd round game against United to replace the game we could have had last year.
-
I think we'll struggle for the first 5-10 games. In some cases, I think we'll get seriously turned over but we'll steadily improve, enough to see us scrape into mid table obscurity by the end of the season.

Should have done more to keep him in the first place but anyway welcome back Shez.
