I could have said it for that reason,  but actually I wasn't.  I have seen him play 4 times.  Been good or very good 3 times.  People point to the one bad performance that he had last season as being proof he is 'shit'.  Gardner has been a bit shit for the last 3 games but gets a free pass #notaforeigner

Maouche looks very composed on the ball, rarely if ever gives it away to the opposition and can see a pass.  There is definitely something in him.

Your not Maouche's agent are you kowenicki??  ? £4k per week gives you a nice cut.....

So presumably the three games you have seen him in includes last night and Newcastle last season when he was MOM in both games for me?  He played in a pre season friendly this year I think too when he was one of the better players on the pitch.

I do agree that he looks a bit lightweight, but that doesn't equal bollocks.  David Silva is lightweight, but tough as can be.

Opinions.... but people on here are definitely harder on the foreign lads than they are on the likes of Gardner.

Not at all kowenicki....and I did say I wasn't there last night if you read my post. Most accounts said he had a decent game so fair play.

I dis see him start at Shrewsbury in the CAT QF last season - absolutely useless and brought off at HT.

Saw him in the MKD opener this season - came on for last 15 mins (bit unfair to get rated granted) but IMO had zero influence on anything

Saw him at FGR this season - came on for most of the 2nd half and was shite. Just chased the ball around with little desire, didn't put in a tackle without giving away a free kick and can't remember a single pass to feet.

3 competitive games where IMO he looked like a lost sheep I'm afraid and nothing to do with being  foreign lad...just an honest opinion of what I have seen.

Like i said I'm happy to be proved wrong, and maybe given some game time he will show us why we are supposedly paying him 4K per week!!

Maouche.  Still at a loss why people couldn’t see this in him before.  I’ve been impressed with him every time I’ve seen him play.

Hmmm....didn't see the the game last night but by all accounts he seems to have had a good game.

However on the 3 occasions I have seen him play he has been absolutely shite! And as others have said 3 managers have not fancied him. Perhaps if given a start he may surprise a few and get some confidence. However I'm yet to be convinced he is physical enough, or has the bollocks for league 2.

Happy to be proved wrong on this though as we do need some creative spark in midfield.

  4. Iversen and Nepo have been arguably 2 of our most consistent players this season and will be a huge miss, particularly Iversen against Newport, who are going really well.

Need the fans to be up for this and get behind the boys as they will bring 350 or so vocal Taffs I would imagine.

I'd take another scrappy win by the odd goal anytime!!

Frankie himself has said he would love Jack back in the team. If he’d deliberately injured Fane he would have been off the books weeks ago without a pay-off. Amazing how many people are failing to grasp this.

Just you it seems Ryan! You can't prove it was deliberate. That's the point!! ?

We keep coming back to this, we all agree on it but if this was the case surely it would lead to his dismissal .

FFS. How does anyone "prove" it was deliberate? Impossible id say. So AL/Bunn maybe thought it was... and maybe many of the squad training that day saw it as out of order... so they decide enough is enough and freeze him out instead of sacking him... Which without an admission from JB they can't do anyway otherwise we'd get taken to the cleaners for unfair dismissal.

Ask yourself if you were his team mate and you saw the alleged incident.....and know what a jumped up dick JB can be, would you want him in the team??

Maybe Clarke's experience can be valuable without having to run around...he could let the youngsters do that under his guidance. Remember Sheridan standing in the middle of the pitch and bossing the game without moving very much because of his dodgy knees? :D

Yep remember that... Was awesome to watch! Think we would benefit though with another experienced centre half though...long season.

  8. Away on hols at the moment reading lots of negatively on here!

Edmundson extending his deal is some GOOD NEWS Imo.

Decent young player with potential to improve and a longer term deal will protect our investment.

Also like the signing of Lang who by all accounts is a top prospect so not all bad.

Looking forward to seeing him, Surridge and Jose in the same 11.

2 0 comfortable win for me on Saturday.

First half was hopeless.  The sympathy I have for Bunn with so many key players missing is diminished when he plays a back 5 that's extremely inexperienced and vulnerable and a midfield 5 that has 3 central midfielders yet none of them who protect the back line or support the lone striker.

The hope arrived in the form of Jose Baxter.  From the first minute he came on we started to look like some form of attacking threat.  It still didn't mask the fact that some players simply didn't look up to the task but at least it was something.  Forest Green had some good players in the right areas, Rawson at the back (granted he was up against O'Grady) and Reid up front were strong and effective.  However a good team would've torn us to shreds in the first half so they can't have been that good.

    On an individual basis:

Iverson - a positive.  Maybe could've done better for their goal but it was a good strike by Reid.  Good with crosses and made a few good saves in the 2nd half.

Hamer - a really poor first half where he looked out of his depth, but a very good second half.  Provided the cross that led to the penalty.

Graham - slipped for the goal but very strong in the air.  A lot of potential there and hard to believe that he's only 17!

Edmundson - alright.  Not a liability but lack of pace might hinder him.  Both centre backs desperate for the experience and leadership that Clarke brings.

Hunt - not very good.  He's a much better right back going off last season.

Branger-Engone - on that showing I don't think he's good enough.  Worked hard but off the pace.

Missilou - the build of a Kante but didn't really do a lot of anything in all honesty.

Gardner - One of the few players who regularly wanted to get on the ball and showed some balls when stepping up for the pen.  I have a lot of respect for him but the fact that he's gone from one of our weaker first XI players last season to one of our stronger ones this season says more about our decline than his ability sadly.

Nepomuceno - I like his energy and the balance that he gives to the team, but any cross he did went perfectly into the keeper's hands.

Coke - somewhere between anonymous and useless.

O'Grady - at least he kept fighting the losing battle against their centre backs, but he was woefully ineffective.  If he's anything more than a back up striker this season then we are in trouble!

    Subs:

Baxter - my god he stands out like a sore thumb.  If Byrne has been sacked then at least a fit Jose will soften the blow.

Moosh - anonymous apart from a push in a needless position.

With the squad we have (mainly the players missing) we should comfortably stay up, but I have this feeling that the rug could be pulled from under our feet at any point which could spell total disaster.

Don't disagree with any of this Harry. Depressing performance wasn't it.

Lacked pace, width and ideas, and the likes of Coke and Maouche should never play again for us.

Could get embarrassed by a fired up Derby in the Cup....
