Can anyone tell me what was so dfferent yesterdayto what happend last week in the RRE against Millwall.
Stewards with more than half a braincell between them?
-
Wasnt one of them Oasis - F****n' in the bushes?
yes, when they were coming out.
why didn't we think of that as coming out music???
sounded really good.
-
Granted... go and post your opinion in that thread so people can respond properly....
have you ever thought of "getting out more"???

Come on guys if its anyone on here we dont want to lose fans!
please tell me you mean complaining and not standing up and swearing.

No . .. he went 4-3-2 ... infact he played 4-3-2 from the start of the second half.
Hazell, Gregan, Stam and Taylor at the back.
Eardley, Allott and Whittaker in the middle with Lewi and Hughes upfront ...
looked like 3-4-2 to me with Taylor left midfield until 2nd half of extra time.

"They reached the playoffs last year and manage to muster up 16k ..."
In similar circumstances how many would Athletic take to Wembley ?
Don't you mean DID?
Answer; Only slightly more than the other lower division satellite towns of Manchester; Rochdale, Bury, Stockport and pre Dave Whelan Wigan. No, Answer; 30000.

No Shez. No.
If you're gonna bring Stammy on, put him at LB and move Taylor into midfield. What did people expect us to do? Hoof, hoof, hoof. Deano ran them ragged down the right, and our best RW is wasted at LB, whilst our best RB is moved into CM meaning Ruben, yes Ruben, was the one breaking down the right.
????
We went 3 at the back didn't we and he DID move Taylor into midfield???????
Went back to 4 with Taylor at LB for 2nd half of extra time IIRC????
Thought it was a bold move to try and win it with 10 men myself.

I doubt thats going to be a regluar thing..... Probably just once a year when those animales visit....
you think Millwall'll go up aswell???
-
I think what the club really needs to consider with these morons, and the Police aswell to a slighlty lesser extent, is that law abiding people who have never been in trouble in their lives but like to let off a bit of steam on a Saturday afternoon might stop coming.
If you've got a good job & a family to look after that could be put in jeapordy if one of these over zealous lands you with a criminal record just for being a bit boisterous at a football match.
Is it worth it?
-
Sneering about Chris Taylor seemed to be his main theme.
thin bloke with glasses????
-
Did he really know much about the first goal? He may well have been credited with it but from the Chaddy it just looked like a scambled mess of a goal.
maybe if you contact the Football League it might not be too late to have it disallowed.
-
Really? I honestly didn't see Liddell doing much today, penalty aside. The amount of times he had the opportunity to beat a man, get to the by-line and swing a ball over, must have been at least ten. Along with Gregan and Maher, I thought Liddell could (and should) have been on the bench, we wouldn't have missed him.

-
(gladly) didn't hear it either
-
Yes, I was sat in the Chaddy. Half as many Milwall fans made twice as much noise. The RRE started making a bit of noise at 3-3, but where were they at 0-1, 1-1, 1-2, 1-3 and 2-3?
Really, they were no different than the fans sat in the the spiritual home of the Oldham Athletic fans. And if people think that they made a lot of noise we are in for a long season of the same old crap atmosphere, being outsung by away fans.

just have to hope that female copper is there all the time as well!
i concur
-
I'm confused.
Are we playing Rochdale away in the Carling Cup or Napoli away in the UEFA cup?????
Get a grip eh.
Embarassing.
-
Yup im off to the rochdale.. The lure of beer is too tempting
and I have it on good authority they're not gona play Only Fools & Horses in there either
-
Egon Ronay's thoughts on the catering?
-
He's right though.
Remember under Royle & Dowie I always thought we'd get a result - most notably during the Weds game. When Marshall scored I headed down to the front of the Chaddy thinking we're gonna win this.
If we're losing at half time or with ten minutes to go roar them on. It definitely helps.
Moaning definitely doesn't.
-
Never undertstand this "I'm not paying that!" logic.
Where's your cut off point - £20, £22???
Don't remember how much it was there last season but I remember it was certainly worth the extra. A machine that poured 8 pints at once & TV screens you could watch the match on while you finished your second HT pint (two was possible due to said machine).
Totally understand those who can't afford Rochdale AND Leeds regardless of price but, if that extra fiver or so makes the difference just take some butties to eat on the way, have one less beer and don't miss our biggest away game of the season.

Brentford at home on a tuesday night about 5 years ago. An absolute cracker of a game with not a bad foul all night and that man did his level best to ruin it. Should have been suspended after that and never allowed to ref another game!!
God 5 years on and he still makes my blood boil!
remember that.
never been to a game before where half the crowd stayed behind to boo the ref off despite the fact we WON!
-
Im only passing on information that came from a friend who is in the know (another way of saying "in the police") and didnt want me getting into any trouble and missing the game.
Like i said, it just a warning, maybe it wont happen. Always better to be safe than sorry though.
"police intelligence"
my favourite oxymoron.

He could play on either wing , but played mainly on the right.
was he better on the left by any chance and did DW's grandad want to give him a piggy back to Plymouth?

Good news - new bar open in RRE
