  1. And so the finale,Hudds will make a million or more,i think its fair to say with ANY balls the club could have sugned a decent striker and he would have payed for himself in 90mins.

utterly distgusted and if troman goes for 350k then the motives of these owners will be clear for all to see

and yes they can whistle for my money if they sell at that price.

words dont describe the way this club is being run

    *cue abuse from the lemmings

as much as I'm all for your new tough stance on mindless name calling and abuse of other posters you must agree that certain instances do justify it - could you implement something whereby you can flag certain posts to give us the green light to get stuck in when someone is undoubtedly spouting utter :censored:?

  2. Its not so much gambling in bringing players in that I have the problem with, it is the fact he doesn't have the balls to play a real 442 and constantly leaves Lomax on the bench. He must be destroying the kid. We have the personnel to play a more expansive attcking game but his safety first approach is costing us big time at home. The players know it isnt working but he will only switch things about in the last 10 minutes or so. Trotters could've been pushed up with 20 minutes to go on Saturday but he sat on his hands and we limped to defeat. This is our best team with the personnel we have available and is the team i'd like to see take on Carlsle tomorrow night, lets just have a bloody good at someone at home

    Crossley

    Eardley

    Hazell

    Trotman

    Lomax

    Taylor

    Allott

    MacDonald

    Smalley

    Hughes

    Allessandra

That team has two pacy fullbacks, two pacy wingers, Allott to protect the back four by playing in his usual deep lying position and Macca to make the forward runs. This team should be able to put enough crosses in to create chances at least. Sod it lets lose 4-3 instead of 1-0 every week. Lets attack teams instead of rolling over playing insipid boring directionless football.

are you a Geordie in disguise?

  3. Yep, they could have been an expensive gamble that didn't pay off, or they could have been an expensive gamble that did pay off, but, if unsure, do nothing.

As I said in a previous post 'though, I think the club should be naming targets that have not materialised, and not leave us playing a guessing game. They don't have any obligation to, but it would be nice if they did.

    what?

you'd feel better if you knew we'd missed out on a decent player?

  4. There are too many distractions other than football and I'm sorry but in general at £20 a time people will stop going to matches if they are not entertained. In these days of SKY live armchair football winning at all costs is simply not enough to get bums on seats.

Your always going to get the diehards like us, who turn up week in week out but to get success at a club you need to entertain and at home this season we just ain't doing it!

We all have opinions but the reason we've averaged 5,800 instead of 7,000 is solely down to boring, predictable, football, producing 2 wins and only 9 goals!!

    I disagree.

I think the who we're playing/what we're playing for seems to have more bearing on attendances than how we're playing.

  5. 40+ guy wearing colours doesn't smack (no pun intended) to me of someone who is going to try and run the FYC up Sheepfoot lane.

Therefore I 'presume' he was an innocent party. I could, however, be miles off the mark. That's why I used the word 'presumably'.

    KOTK

would you presume someone dressed in a Spiderman outfit wouldn't get involved aswell?

  6. Can I suggest a visit to the docs for your ears syringing on Monday morning mate? We could even hear an echo off the Chaddy End! But seriously, it sound pretty loud where we were and there was constant chanting throughout. On a technical note, sometimes a half empty stand actually sounds louder with the noise able to bounce around more. We too couldn't hear Latics fans either to be honest!

While I'm on here! - I'm sorry to read some OWTB's forum members don't like opposing fans being allowed to post. Surely if visiting fans are sensible and inoffensive it isn't a problem. I always enjoyed sharing comments with other fans, both on these kinds of message boards or indeed in the pub before and after games, so it would be a shame to ban visitors form joining in.

    AceT :D

you were REALLY quiet compared to anyone else who's filled that stand in recent years - Wednesday, Leeds, City, even Blackpool!

  7. Been saying this for a while, Wolfy's not making the impact he needs to off the bench - the boy needs a run out on loan somewhere. Ship him out for a couple of months and give Lewis a go from the bench.

great idea - we've got plenty of cover up front.

an emarrassment of riches some might say

  8. it was, apparently, the end of the world when this lad got injured pre-season.

he was gonna be the next big thing and become an integral member of the first team.

he's been fit for ages now, we're not scoring goals and we've seen about 5 minutes of him - what's changed?

  9. the difference between Shez and Moore is that at least under Shez we've had some good times, played some good football and got some cracking results - Everton & Leeds away are up there with many peoples favourite aways and both games happened within the last 27 DAYS.

yes there's been a lot of bad days to go with the good days but, we've got a good manager who can get it right and VERY right some of the time - he just needs to suss out how to get it right most of the time.

i sometimes wonder if a lot of people on here are watching their first full season - it's never gonna be fast, flowing, rampaging football week in, week out. it won't be in the season we finally get up out of this god forsaken division either - ask Swansea - lose to non-league Havant one week, win 4-0 away at megabucks promotion rivals the next!

    get a grip!
