  1. why do people want to remove a manager who: has assembled a very good young squad with a spine of experience - Windass, Hughes, Crossley/Fleming, Taylor, Eardley, Gregan - More than enough quality to get us into the top two. currently sat in the top 6 5 points off 2nd - Not good enough with the squad available; Lee, Stephens, Willams (relesead after 6 months...tell us why), Gregan, Fleming (Rejected championship clubs to join us, not on peanuts), Taylor (signed a new contract, not on peanuts), Eardley (signed a new contract, not on peanuts, but on the bench), Maher (Not on a cheap contract, only a sub), A number of these not used when its obvious a change is needed. working with the 3rd smallest budget in the league - According to who? Shez? Windass - Not cheap, Offering Hughes 3k a week apparently, Crossley, Gregan, Taylor, Maher, Lee, Fleming, dont believe that for a second! fending off numnerous big clubs trying to cherry pick his best players - Allegedly. Taylor has been anonymous without DJ, Hughes couldnt care less, wherever the most money is he will go, Windass doesnt want to be here, is only here because were the nearest club to where he lives and Hull know hes too old for the Premier League. took us to play-offs in 1st season and came close with a virtual youth team due 2 injuries last year - (Eardley, Taylor, Lomax) Id back myself to achieve the same with the squd he had available. Thats 3 players out of 11. plays good football when possible - Where is it this season then? Lomax, Hazell HOOF when they get on the ball! knows the world of football and our club as well as anybody - ha ha', yeh ok then, name a signing he has made as a result of this 'knowledge'. Bringing in his mates of 30 odd years if age wont get us out of this league. who else would people bring in? who could do any better? Aidy Bothroyd, Jim Gannon, Paul Ince (unlikely, but possible). Andy Ritchie 9 how many successful clubs chop and change managers when the chips r down? Look at chelsea now? struggling after sacking a manager. and the filthy reds? still got taggart and chasing silverware all over the show(even if it hurts me to say it) - Arsene Wenger?, Dario Gradi? I think it's time we all got behind shez and his staff and push in the same direction-for promotion - I want some of what your on. If you believe he can get us out of this division you are deluded.

  3. You cant say this, you cant say that. Why dont you 'admins' tell us all, who we can talk about, and what subjects we can talk about. Bring back rivals.net....
  4. Got to agree with Derek here, i thought the idea of a winger was to get to the bye line a few times a game let alone a whole season! I also thought a winger should look to push on down the line, and not run back the half way line to recieve the ball. He hardly ever (never) beats his man let alone put a good cross in.
  5. Maybe if he wasnt out on the pi$$ with all the students in manchester most days of the week giving it the big i am he wouldnt have turned $hit!
  6. I got talking to a lad at uni and when i mentioned i was an oldham fan he told me how he was best mates with chris m*ores son, and believe it or not, his own son hates him as well.
  7. If we sell for less than 500k then mr hardy has serious issues. Although having spoken to neal trotman in a club in manchester, he said how happy he was at oldham and how good shez was with all the players. Add to this the small issue of moving to the other end of the country im not so sure he would leave.
  8. I think how well we do will all depend on Hughes and Ricketts, if Hughes finds his feet and Ricketts can rediscover some of his old form i think we will be up there. However if they both flop i can see us finishing mid table as we will struggle for goals.
  9. Agree with Macca there, at his age I think it is highly unlikely that Crossley will manage a full season. Any slight knock will take longer to get over so i think we will see Pogs between the sticks on a fair few occasions this season.
  10. A seperate section for big brother 8! i knew there was a reason i signed up to this board As much as its annoys me, i am addicted to the thing
  11. Name? Dan Location? Wirral How Long Supporting the Tics? 15 Years Best away match you've been to? All home games are away for me, but Huddersfield away this season. All Time Greatest Player? David Eyres Biggest Rivals (in your eyes)? Tranmere, for obvious reasons...
