One could argue it was a tougher/ braver call to not start Norwood.
Norwood was suspended.

l wonder aloud here why the person that won the toss turned the teams round? seems a strange decision from either Captain.
I heard someone in an interview (can't remember who) say that they really wanted to get at York from the kick off and get an early goal to settle nerves, and it was felt playing towards our own fans in the RRE would help.

Just a side point.
How can bookies offer a market on new managers when it’s a known outcome to a few people?
Who is the known outcome?

Is this still the player signings news and rumours thread? Just checking.

There were quite a few articles the other day suggesting they were going for Pete Wild...
The source must have heard "ex Oldham manager" and thought of the wrong one.
To be fair, there are quite a few.

same here didn’t even watch. Can imagine as royle had a bad first year they are saying stick with him it will come. But there is nowt really to suggest it will. Even the run last year wasn’t great performance wise. Think we’ll be stuck with him for a fair while yetRoyle had a good first year, we finished 7th.

Gardner Hope and Mgahey are the players here from the previous regime. I imagine we had to pay out for the likes of Leutweiller and Rooney. Also while we are ahead of other club's at our level interms of infrastructure. We are way behind other club's for things such as training facilities and the overall state of Boundary Park.
Yes booing definitely makes a difference. You can argue its important to shut the noise out and yes they just concentrate on their game and they should but they are only human and they will hear things.
As supporter for the last 30 years I do things that try and make me not fallout of love with the club. Going to every single away game is one of them. If I get to a stage where I'm regularly hurling abuse at the players and or the manager of the team that I support if it gets to that stage I'm just going to stop going because it's not worth me spending time and money on stuff that's going to make me angry it achieves nothing.
Plus Norman, Couto, Sutton, Sheron, Tollit & Fondop

Is this game live on TNT as I am watching on NLTV.
Yes

We'd be in the drop zone now were it not for Southend's 10 point deduction.

Late change. Hudson in goal.

I'm glad we signed Norwood on Thursday. I doubt he would have signed had he seen today's performance.

Number 2 not allocated, hopefully this means that signing a right back is still on the agenda.

Scholes was only given the job for publicity and it was obvious from the very start, he was a lame duck,
At what point now would he ever be offered the same position? It just wouldn't happen at any level!
Saudi Arabia?

Gonna be interesting how Unsworth manages his 5 strikers…
Given we have a surplus of centre halves and centre forwards I think our formation this season will be 5-0-5.
