Only 3?  We've signed 5 new players, 3 of them played, 1 was on the bench (and came on) and 1 is injured.  I agree we could probably do with the 2 or 3 signings DU says are incoming.

Will Nuttall be suspended at the start of the season following his sending off?  I'm not sure if sendings off in friendlies lead to a suspension.  If so it opens the door for one of our other forwards.

Does that mean Windass has left or is he there on a trial basis?  Hope he does leave as it will be better for him playing regular football and we would save a small (probably very small) amount on wages.  Good luck to the guy if he goes.

Its an unpopular view but I think Big Joe lost the plot somewhat when he had cash to spend rather than collecting players who wanted to succeed but weren't rated by their clubs.

Perhaps there was other stuff going on but we were relegated with a poorer team than the one we were promoted with.

Agreed.  Kenny Clements in 79/80.  The fee was actually £200k, smashing the previous record fee paid for Simon Stainrod who cost £60k.

I'd be pissed off if I'd got the money together to take advantage of the early bird deal only to find that they then extended or re-introduced it later on.
