  1. Personally, I don't care how bad the team is, how poor the atmosphere is or how big a dump the ground is - it's part of who I am.

In my opinion, going to watch my LOCAL team, week in, week out makes me better than most other people, certainly most other so called football fans.

There is nothing, nothing that anybody could do - owner, manager, player, fellow so called supporter - that would make me cut my nose off to spite my face and stop going.

The worse it gets the more steadfast I become.

The worse it gets the better the last minute winners, the little chinks of light get.

Great post Harry. Like many I travel miles each week to watch our team. I sometimes question my sanity, but never consider not attending. As you say its part of who we are. Its the easiest thing in the world to follow one of the big boys, but does that really give you the feeling of belonging that you get when you follow your local team. I think not!

Long Live Latics, and Long Live the loyal band of supporters, however few of us there are

  2. Visiting cyprus in a couple of weeks, staying in paphos.

I'll be celebrating my birthday whilst there, has anyone been and got any advice on the best bars and restaurants to try?

It's our first time in cyprus so any help would be appreciated.

We're staying in the tomb of the kings area.

    Cheers.

Stayed just by Tomb of the Kings a couple of years ago. The main drag has numerous brit type bars showing english footy, John Smiths and fish and chips. There is one restaurant (cant remember the name) which does a not bad greek evening (food, wine dancing etc). There's a bar called Charlie's, pretty friendly, does karaoke etc, again Brit style. There's also a chinese, but it's quite expensive.

If you want english your in the right area - if you want local stuff you'll have to travel inland a bit

  3. Scheme is really a re-launch.

    Bak details

    Sort Code 16-27-11

    Acc. 10176108

We set our sights too high last time and the scheme is being modified slightly. However the monthly prize will still exist via donations and an incentive top join will be announced shortly.

Hi Again, I mentioned this earlier, as has bristolatic, but we need an account name to be able to set up the order.

    Cheers, Tony

  4. Ive recently returned from Abu Dhabi after being out there for 3 weeks work. If you're not already familiar I recommend Heroes bar in the Crowne Plaza for watching sporting events. Local TV has plenty of English football, but concentrates on the Premier Greed.

If you need any other info I'd be glad to help.

  5. Is there plans to show the new stadium images on official site from tomorrow?

For those who cannot attend in person but have invested their life into the club should surely have the same opportunity via the official site?!

Agree with you whole heartedly as I cant make it either. Just in case the fishul site lets us down any chance someone could give us a report tomorrow, some pictures would be good.

  6. I really can't understand anyone who says this would stop them going. I'm a season ticket holder from Lincoln and every game is an away game for me. Get real!!!!

Me too Dave. Like all the exiles who travel miles for games now, I can't understand how some from the borough can say it is too far.
