Any idea who of the first name of the Wrigley for the fans team? My ex-bro in law is Kev Wrigley who stewards in the Rocky Rd end. Wondered if it might be him, although I can't spot him in any of the pictures.

Not quite sure I've got the story totally correct (I'm sure someone will put me right), but I believe that one of Oldham's stranger claims to fame was the bid made to host the winter olympics sometime early the last century. They were to be held on the Counthill Slopes. The bid unsurprisingly failed. I think the Oldham Tinkers song "Skiing Owdham Style" is a reference to this.

Lived in Germany 2001-2005. Had a season ticket for 1FC Kaiserslautern. Great stadium, great atmosphere, and you could take your beer to your seat! Downside was the standard of German league football is not a patch on ours. Don't know how they always turn out such a top national team.

How about some AWACS pictures? I was on both 8 & 23 Sqns during my time at Waddington. Great days, loads of travel, but often meant I couln't get to matches!

I definitely remember that one except I remember it as being Jim Frizzels aces. (Its an age thing!)

I don't know how anyone can look any further than Warney. He plays is heart out and is a major influence in every game. There is no other player in the team with his consistency or who puts in as much effort. I agree with the earlier post saying that its a shame he's not a bit younger, but I think he can cut it in the championship, and still has a couple of good seasons left in him.

It just has to be!!

Just 17 days ago we were top of the table. Now 4 straight defeats. What the hell has gone wrong. Its just like the "good old days". It takes balls to be a Latics fan!!

BBC gives the possesion 51% to 49% in our favour, but we all know how good their reporting is!! Surely as we are 6 corners to 1 up we must have had most of the play.

Eddy for me. Although Lomax looks to be one for the future every game is a must win game if we are to keep on top of the pile. So Eddy's experience gives him my vote.

We don't have a smiley .GIF called style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif we do have style_emoticons/default/tongue3.gif though. The smiley that you are calling for in the BBcode isn't in the folder anymore. Any posts that we're made on owtb.jconserv.net with the old smiley pack, may not have travelled across to owtb.co.uk because we have a new pack here which I have assembled from scratch.
