Fortunately that cock of a ref spent the whole evening making inconsistent decisions (as did the mainstand linesman), otherwise Hughesy could have got himself an unnecessary second yellow. I don't for one minute believe the ref was not impartial - I just think he positioned himself terribly, didn't keep up with play, and didn't allow himself a peripheral view of the field of play. He was , unfortunately, typical of 90% of the crap referees we seem to be getting at BP.
