Well spotted! "Oldham Athletic’s financial backers have pledged to carry on supporting the club despite continuing losses and several sponsors going out of business." Perhaps Simon Corney is not mentioned because he's the 'hands on' Managing Director. Edited November 20, 2008 by Diego_Sideburns
leeslover
Not much of a story to be honest. The annual accounts have to show that the business can operate as a going concern, and it's making a loss, so they have to state that they are going to cover it. leeslover
it's enough of a story to prove wrong those who say that TTA are pulling out. It's a line some trainee chartered accountant probably copied and pasted from last years accounts. Sorry, I don't think they are going to pull out, but this is not much of a shocker. Standard paragraph under the Companies Act, all the companies going bust at the moment will have these statements in their last year's accounts.Means nothing, Latics accounts in the year before Chris Moore pulled the plug had the same paragraph to comply With the Companies Act
