opinions4u
Price of oil down 70%. His reduction in personal worth must be several £bn over the last year. From a Chelsea fan perspective this could be pretty scary. He is personally owed over £700m by the club (as reported in their last accounts). If he called in the debt without finding a buyer, Chelsea will no longer exist.

garcon
Personally I can't wait for Abramovich to get bored, sell up, and for Chelsea to return to where they truly belong. The second division.

He cashed in his oil company a year or two ago, ironically selling it back to the Russian government, albeit at a slightly higher price than it was sold to him for. Exactly their fans have been happy for him to throw his money about with total disregard for its effects on English football so if they went bust it would be their own fault for not opposing the ridiculousness of the situation there. To be honest i'd love it every single one of the top Prem clubs went bust, football has been ruined by the Premiership and is now more about making money than winning trophies, that's just a side issue. The Premiership will continue to get stronger and the football league will get weaker until there is only one professional league outside the Prem. The FA seem to have very little if any control over the Premier league anymore, they're scared of upsetting the clubs and expecially Scudamore. If a Prem club went into administration do you think a 15 point penalty would be imposed? I'm not so sure.
