Walter Matthau's Lt.Garber is played by Denzel Washington this time around, and it's Directed by Tony Scott - so expect another rip-roaring Scott/Washington affair. Frankly Mr Shankly Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 The original is one of my favourite film of all time too, with the lead villain played by Robert Shaw who was originally from somewhere like Huddersfield or Rochdale wasn't he? Think the new one could do it a bit of justice actually. Don't mind Denzil and it's a typically great hostage/heist plot too.
