I wouldn't say it hints towards squad size at all......It gives the youngsters a 'real' opportunity should they apply themselves and develop as the club hope they will in the reserves next season. TP will obviously want his players to push themselves to the next level in their career - this is, unfortunately in many young players cases, where their pro careers start and end - as they never really 'kick' on from reserve football, for one reason and another. Though regarding squad size, i'm sure after the TTA have said the budget will be cut, there will be more opportunity for the pan lids. Macca Posted April 7, 2009 Share Posted April 7, 2009 I wouldn't say it's a hint on squad size really. The next step for these lads is the first-team so that's what they need to aim for now. Without having a reserve side this season I haven't a clue whether these players are good enough. Don't know how they play. Scrapping the reserve side was a very big mistake!
