LaticsLegend Posted May 28, 2009 Share Posted May 28, 2009 Is this still going for this season? I think it was last season that it wasnt played, but it was sorely missed. The year before we had a shed load of fans for just a friendly, which got me thinking...it could be a good way to drag a few more fans to home games next season. It may just seem like a local friendly, but the year before last, plenty of lads I know, and who mates knew came along simply due to the rivalry and localness. Could this convince them to come to more Latics games? Its a great day win/lose/draw when we play them, so here's hoping we get it going again this year. As much as that would be great, I'm sure that Penney would still use the game as an oppertunity to asess his squad, and how well they play together. Trip to Marbella for the annual tournament they go in with Peterborough.
