It makes you wonder why the hell he moved up north for a one year contract, what a gamble that hasnt paid off for him Surely we couldnt have offered him much more than Southend did ? Almost a given in the football rumour mill this......it was Mark Gower. He was quickly moved on to avoid any more problems; to Swansea i believe. But the damage was done behind the scenes, Maher had lost face in the dressing room & decided to move away for a fresh start. Up we stepped & here he was last season with us.
