davemathieson
I had no idea he was even at the club! How long has he been? It was under 16s BTW. Good luck to him at Stoke, looks like we're replacing him with ex Bury boss Chris Casper: Link Anyone seen him about lately? If he was in decent shape we defo should have had him in the Masters team! chaddy the owl
Firstly, he was the coach for the under 11's. He was supposed to be moving to the under 16's this season but that has obviosuly changed now he is leaving. Secondly, he cant play in the masters due to getting a pay out when retiring through injury and if he was to play again in any way i suspect they would want there money back. Might be wrong, but isn't the payout based on being unable to do your profession anymore? That being league football, getting paid for it. Lots of people get payouts and play Conference as well as Masters, but cannot go any higher. And I thought it was under 16s due to the link on the site, as I said I didn't even know he worked for us! garcon
And I thought it was under 16s due to the link on the site, as I said I didn't even know he worked for us! He was under-11s coach, but had just been offered the opportunity to move up to the under-16s.
chaddy the owl
Aye, thats what i said. I honestly dont know the script with payouts from insurance from injuries as ive never asked. I wouldnt of thought they would be too keen on him playing though. Its like your insurance company paying out when you right your car off and you going picking up the check in the same car. I know you can still use a car that has been paid out on, but you have to buy it back, i would guess this could possibly be the same with footballers. I only mentioned about the insurance for Earl though as he has stated in a programme interview a few years ago that this was the reason he didnt play anymore in masters football. BlueJazzer
I thought he was at city! Been to a few Princes Trust passout evenings at The Council House and he was there each time. Just assume he was something to do with them. Oh well, good luck I suppose.

Technically that's not true Chaddy I had a car that was written off because it was valued at £450 quid and the damage would have cost more to repair but it was still driveable and passed its MoT and I kept driving it without having to pay a penny to any insurance company. I think if you retired early due to injury and got a decent pay-out as a result the insurers would be a bit miffed if you were then playing again in an albeit limited capacity- (it might depend on the terms of the insurance settlement and the wording of any medical report). Its not worth loosing some money just so you can play in an old pros competition.
