Don't know if this has been mentioned before but they are looking at land in east manchester with a view to a new stadium, leaving the locals split even further if they do fancy a game .

Where have you got "east manchester" from?

 

I can only find "In a 2006 annual general meeting, the FCUM decided to build its own stadium central to Greater Manchester by 2012, with a capacity to seat 7,000 to 10,000 visitors."

 

Which isn't East and is 3 years old - more an aspirational aim than a targeted one.

I note that a part-time club formed only a few years ago aspires to have a stadium almost as large as that proposed for Latics.
