I bottled out of Reading, Norwich and Notts County to win their respective leagues in a singles, doubles and treble bet and opted for Lee Hughes top scorer in league 2 instead. Looking pretty promising already. Fortunately i backed notts county at 33/1 when i heard a whisper about their takeover, happy bunny at the moment but long way to go. fleetwood Blue Posted August 9, 2009 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Stranger things have happened - Alan Wright will be a good import and didn't they pay a decent fee for the Barrow skipper? yes Steve Mcnulty i think they paid 20k for him, although Alan Wright is now 37 he will still do a job in that league, his competition for his place is with John Hills. Andy Pilley (chairman) has put in a couple of million to improve the ground and they are almost ready to make the step up to the conference with gates averaging 1,000+ last seaon. Looking pretty promising already. Got Norwich to win the league, along with M`Boro and Rotherham! Saw the Hughes bet and couldnt be bothered putting it on . What odds did you get for it mate?
