season ticket sales next season and attendances

I might well have missed the point - or at least run on a tangent to it - I'm not sure if snook is trying to say that we've had clueless players all through the moore/shez/penny years, or if he is just criticising the current players. Who knows. I addressed his point based on the latter view, in respect of blaiming penny for the players failings and therefore held up examples of players whom he did not choose, but have been held up (by fans on here) as huge, important players - the wellens/whittaker debate was not entirely ironic at the time; taylor will have been seen as a messianic player.

If snook really meant 5 years of dross; well, no point entering a debate at that (low) level.

i agree

you can only realistically go off the players here this season, last season and the other 4 before it have finished, done and dusted...in the past

every manager up and down the country invariable make mistakes with signings,i dont think any manager gets it right 100% of the time.

whitts is very average but not a penny player...stephens and lee have done well this season, but there not penny players either...greegs and rubes on the whole have been good again not penny players...taylor,very hit and miss mostly miss..but not a penny player...

the only player for me to have made any kind of impression that penny has signed is abbott...and the last few games hes looked decidedly dodgy.

but if he can bring in players like nardiello and lewis guy, both look decent, and blood the obligatory 2 or 3 young uns then things may pick up.

trouble is there have been passengers at this club for a few seasons, and they need moving on,not suprising half the players who look the least interest are not penneys players

i'll be renewin as will my fiancee, but i am doing so if the only reason is that it may be the very last season at BP.

I hope we dont move to manchester, i am an oldhamer and proud of it, but fear it will happen.

DP will go eventually, if it is soon or later, the TTA will also go sooner or later, but i/we shall remain.

Oldhm Athletic is our football club, we don't expect to win ever game, but we do hope for some cheer.

Moronic jeers towards managers do not help the players, but do you think that the players want to play for this manager? When there is no movement/no willing attacking play from skillful wingers, decent midfielders and good strikers?

I have never shouted for heads on the terraces, but it must be obvious to those with the power that DP and team isn't the answer!?! You can be a decent manager, but just not a lucky one, which is what i feel has happened to Dave.

I won't be renewing my season ticket, but that's got nothing to do with David Penney. There are much, much deeper problems at the club than an unpopular manager. I'll freely admit being insulted by a director was the final straw for me - I haven't been since then, but in truth all that has made me realise is that I have had enough of watching the club slowly die.

Yes of course I'm still interested, otherwise I'd have drifted away from here too. And yes of course I want my club to survive and prosper. But you know what? I haven't once missed turning out on matchday - it's actually quite a release not to have to check the fixture list before I decide to do something on a Saturday or arrange a weekend away.

I no exactly what you mean...

Not a chance, this failsworth lark will drag on for years me thinks.
