Better atmosphere next season?

Recommended Posts

please?

Season ticket sales will be well down so we will have to persuade the punters on a match by match basis that we are worth watching and we desperately need a good start!

If the team performs better then the crowds and atmosphere will improve......but it's all about what happens on the pitch!!

If we start as we did this season I dread to think what the crowds will be like!

its up to tta and mr bad penney to start to think about the fans first and foremost because they are the ones that "no matter what they think or like to think the fans hold the cards "if they dont go then the club folds simple. football is like anyother business if the product is crap then people dont buy , so you have to make that product succesfull no matter what the cost is because when that product is one of the best then you reap the rewards

Considering the crowds we get anyway compared to the others I think it is a bit much to ask for the best product in the division, the club and TTA have not got the money to provide a huddersfield/leeds/norwich/charlton/mk dons budget of 4.5 milion plus. It just isnt sustainable at this level, as MK dons have found out.

But agree with your point about a 'crap product'. You only have to look at the direct competition we face for fans, most notably imo Man City, Man U, Rochdale and FC United of Manchester

- Two lower league clubs on the up, known for trying to play football in the right way, both of which charge reasonable admission prices.

- One of the biggest, most successful clubs in the world (but expensive to watch)

- An up and coming team on the European scene. More expensive than Latics, but not as expensive as Man U.

We may not have the means to field the best product in the division, granted. But considering who we are in competition with, we cannot afford to field a crap product, and fans of the club who pay their money have every right to expect a team that

- Gives 100 percent

- Tries to play the game how it should be played
