Matt
Just thought I'd post my lads' school bulletin up for parents in the Rochdale/Oldham district and surrounding areas, you never know... We have recently had the following ‘stranger danger’ alerts sent in to school:- * Incident 1: 2 female high school children were followed from Matthew Moss, down Bolton Road toward Sudden, Rochdale. The person then hid behind a van, the girls crossed over and went into Tesco. The man is described as Asian, 19-20 years old, with a prominent forehead. He was wearing a black and silver T-shirt. This was after school. * Incident 2 - A year 9 male pupil on his was to Holy Family was approached by a white male in his 30's, on Green Lane. He put his hands on his shoulder and tried to drag him, the boy ran away to his friends. To be clear, children from our school were not involved in either of these incidents but we want to inform you of the potential risks in the surrounding area. Please can we ask that you now make a judgement about how to pass this information on to your child and perhaps give some daily reminders about how to stay safe, especially if your child walks to and from school alone. Our teaching staff will be conducting ‘stranger danger’ lessons with the children, which they do on a regular basis, to alert them to the basic points of staying safe. Bring Back Ronnie Moore
* Incident 1: 2 female high school children were followed from Matthew Moss, down Bolton Road toward Sudden, Rochdale. The person then hid behind a van, the girls crossed over and went into Tesco. If they went into Tesco to buy sweets then they're pretty dumb. They could have got some off the stranger.
