LaticsChris
He told their no 24 in the first half you've got 5 minutes to improve or your off. Within that time they had scored and he was involved. Franco?

leeslover
Franco was not a facist. He was a military dictator, a royalist, supporter of the old order (landed elite) and the Catholic right. He had a few facists in his government and then quickly ditched them after the war, becoming a staunch friend of NATO in the Cold War. All facism is based on a racial code, is nationalist and militaristic and is supposed to be all-encompassing. It is based on the leadership principle and, although it was originally intended to have socialist elements (land reform, ownership of key industries etc) it really was a middle-class cop-out which favoured business, industry and the old landed elites, crushing any rival movements (especially the left/unions). Germany took the racial elements and twisted the anti-semitism to a new level. Italain facism was not as anti-semetic until the two bleeders became friends, but it was still based on race. Some of this strikes me as defining history after the event - Mussolini was the first leader of a (semi)-serious power to declare himself a fascist, and was known around the world as such - and although nationalist had no racial overtones that would have stood out compared to France or Britain at the time. Correct about the way the Nazis went though - although they did massively collectivise the economy they made arrangements with the existing powers, including killing Rohm and the SA boys who were the biggest advocates of the Second Revolution that was meant to bring full Socialism. Joseph Goebbels was probably the one who kept this ideal closest to him that survived to the end.
